5 College Freshman

Computers: The technology is great on campus! there is very reliable wifi available along with just computers and printers in general. The charge rate for printing is very affordable and extremely convenient.

College Senior

Computers: I don't use the computers at school. I have my own laptop.

3 College Freshman

Computers: When everyone need's to use the campus network for something important, say registering for next semester's courses, it's horrible to be one campus. Stay far away! The screens will freeze, the computers will take forever to load your content, and you will be left frustrated and angry. Other than that, the amount of time it takes for campus computers to log someone into the network, takes 5 minutes maybe. Most students are used to maybe 1-2 minutes, and they don't like the wait. Internet Explorer is an annoyance, honestly. I prefer Google Chrome to any of the software. On any regular day, the computers work fairly well.

4 College Freshman

Computers: i take my own computer everyday incase professors refer to something they posted online, or if i have down time i catch up on other work or watch movies

3 College Freshman

Computers: Its great having your own laptop and printer because you do not have to pay for copies.

Although it is not a requirement that students have laptops, it is encouraged. Just in case you don't own a laptop, the University has great computer labs and a media center equipped with either Macs or PCs and printers, but any student that needs to print must load his or her ID card with money. The media center not only has computers and printers, it also has cameras and recorders that are available for students to check out.

The computer labs, especially the one located in the library, and the Media Center usually have quite a few students in them, but most of the time, you can find an empty computer to use. All residence halls are equipped with Internet access to either of the two wireless networks available. Both of them require a setup that is fast and easy. Should you have any problems during the setup, you can always contact the help desk.
