5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Very good at school for Financial Aid. Currently applying for outside scholarships.

Transportation: I commute and the commute is not bad. You can ride the bus anywhere you want. would rather take the bus then taxis because of prices.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: you mostly hear about it, but not see.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: San Antonio is a great place to live. The school is like 10 minutes away from the river walk which is a very cool place.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: the school is very diverse and has a large amount of international students.

Off-Campus Housing: Didn't know they have off campus living help. i currently live off campus and i went apartment hunting starting with the internet.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: The school just went D1 and that is terrific, but they should live up to the D1 name like other larger schools.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Some professors in the major do not always seem together and take a long time to respond to things. others are always on the ball and will help you when ever they can.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Everything is great they have some crashes a semester but that is expected for the amount that is on the network. Could have better range for wireless.

The University of the Incarnate Word has so much to offer. From the academics and excellent professors to the life-long friendships, you will not look back and regret coming to UIW. Most of the students really enjoy their experience at UIW. The friendships formed here usually last through college and beyond. There are also more genuine friendships since UIW is a small school, and keeping in contact with fellow classmates is very easy because you see the same people almost daily. UIW is a very diverse school, so it is like a "small world." The memories formed at UIW are endless.

The education is top-of-the-line, as it thoroughly prepares each student to excel in his or her desired field of study. The smaller atmosphere allows for more personal attention for each student. The relationships between students and teachers is very strong, and professors know students by their names because of the low student-to-teacher ratio. Sure, you will hear complaints here and there, whether it be about residence life or the cafeteria food, but keep in mind that everyone has different tastes, and nothing is perfect. Overall, students are very satisfied with their education at UIW and all that it brings them not only while they are in school but after they graduate as well. Professors and advisers make sure that their students are more than prepared for their careers and for whatever life may bring in the future.
