Parking: The parking is okay if you live on campus. If you don't then more than likely you are forced to park at a parking garage at about 4 blocks from the main building. You can take the bus at least.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I don't really care about it. People in greek life seem cool but a lot feel like they literally own the school

5 College Sophomore

Computers: The computers are very good. They are available at the library as well as at the media center where Mac computers are available.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Student Life is amazing. There are always event, and booths that you participate in and can receive free stuff and t-shirts. it's very fun and entertaining.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: My school has great facilities and awesome opportunities for students to make their educational experience better.

4 College Senior

Academics: Not as rigorous as my previous school, but definitely adequate.

College Senior

Athletics: I've not been a part of athletics at this particular university.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: I was disappointed in the way they give music scholarships––at my previous school, you earned your scholarship for all four years as long as you kept yourself up to standard. At UIW, the scholarship is good for one year, and then you have to re-audition.

3 College Senior

Academics: A lot is expected in my particular program, but it's hard to teach the subject matter. The learning process is more about experiencing first hand.

College Senior

Campus Housing: I have never lived in the campus housing at this university.

2 College Senior

Parking: There are too many off-campus students for the amount of parking spaces available.

3 College Senior

Computers: I wish there was more of a variety of PCs and Macs. Instead there are two computer labs that are available for all students and only a few Macs. Also the computers in the downstairs library lab are all very slow and inconvenient to use.

2 College Senior

Health & Safety: There is not a lot of lighting on the walk back to Hillside from main campus which makes walking alone at night a little terrifying. There are no "Emergency" kiosks around campus so I would not know how to ask for an escort if I was not near the police office.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: It is alright there are a few late night options that are decent.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Almost everyone at the school drinks and a lot do other stuff.

Guys & Girls: The girls are not the best looking I was a bit disappointed.

3 College Senior

Majors: Internship students need to seek out their own internship for most majors. Only a few departments have internships ready for students to grab.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: The nightlife is quiet since the student center closes early on campus. If going out to clubs/ nightlife, a car is a necessity to reach any destinations.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Too many athletic meat heads. The more dedicated people are, the less social they are at this school.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I am a declared Biology major in the hopes of pursing a graduate degree for Pharmacy. So far I have to say that I am happy with my decision to transfer into this school. There are some teachers that could be better but overall they are friendly and try their best to help you understand. The advisors are friendly, something that I usually feared at my other campus, and usually try to respond by email or face-to-face.

Guys & Girls: The people on campus vary depending on where you go but it kind of reminds me of how high school is with cliques. The fraternity and sorority people are pretty much the stereotypical outgoing, partying people that are really competitive. A lot of the people on campus though are very athletic or into fitness but overall it all depends on the individual of who you meet and hang around with.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The majority of the school are ethnic minority with a diverse economic background and international students. Being a minority myself I find the school very friendly and open towards everyone and hardly find any discrimination of ethnicity or religion.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I don't know how the freshman dorms are at UIW other than they are in the middle of the campus with the upperclassman dorms a little distance away. It is such a small campus though that the distance makes no difference. The hillside dorm is pretty decent with single suite options and a two level parking garage.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are many different types of students at Incarnate Word University. There a lot of international students, but mainly students from around the area. Mostly everyone is friendly and know how to have a good time, so be prepared for some distractions. The overall attractiveness of the students is average, and the male to female ratio is 1:5.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Incarnate Word University is at a great location in San Antonio and it is a beautiful campus. There are some things that could be improved, but not everything can be perfect. Tuition is high, but that is expected from a private university. San Antonio has a lot to offer, and Incarnate Word is not far from many of San Antonio's attractions.

The University of the Incarnate Word has so much to offer. From the academics and excellent professors to the life-long friendships, you will not look back and regret coming to UIW. Most of the students really enjoy their experience at UIW. The friendships formed here usually last through college and beyond. There are also more genuine friendships since UIW is a small school, and keeping in contact with fellow classmates is very easy because you see the same people almost daily. UIW is a very diverse school, so it is like a "small world." The memories formed at UIW are endless.

The education is top-of-the-line, as it thoroughly prepares each student to excel in his or her desired field of study. The smaller atmosphere allows for more personal attention for each student. The relationships between students and teachers is very strong, and professors know students by their names because of the low student-to-teacher ratio. Sure, you will hear complaints here and there, whether it be about residence life or the cafeteria food, but keep in mind that everyone has different tastes, and nothing is perfect. Overall, students are very satisfied with their education at UIW and all that it brings them not only while they are in school but after they graduate as well. Professors and advisers make sure that their students are more than prepared for their careers and for whatever life may bring in the future.
