Academics: I like the academic life. It is great to have people who want to help you. The professors like to see you stop by their office for help. At registration, it does not take long, only the line but they will give you an answer to your question. I wish they had more variety in physiology classes because in biology, their is more environmental classes,

Academics: I am currently attending school for my degree in Biology minor in chemistry. At times it can be difficult but possible. The methods of studying should be Continued for each semester and time management plays an important role. I currently work with UTPA as a SA and chemistry stockroom personnel and the lack of hours do not help me get by. I would like the opportunity to do paid research or acquire a position that allows me to work openly for 30 hours a week within my degree. Because I am a transfer student, I will be attending school for one more year for my residency upper advance credit hours. This is a struggle because I just needed one more semester. I understand they want me to live the bronc life so as long as I don't pass the 180 hour mark I will be fine.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I really like the teaching strategies that most professors have here. most of them including some TAs of the labs provide you with study guides which is really helpful when it comes to studying for tests.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The dietetics program in our university is top ranking among many universities in the nation, it is challenging and very rewarding. We have one of the best programs because not only do students gather information and understanding of the major, but also get hands on experience throughout the program by shadowing a registered dietitian or working in food service.

Academics: Although I wouldn't say it has the Best academics, UTPA is an extremely good school. I am just biased towards it since it was not my first choice, and I grew up here.
