Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The University of Texas at El Paso provides students with a period of time that they can look back on fondly, like shuffling through an album of memories. By the end of their stay, students think of the school as a part of their family. Resources are available in droves to keep students on their feet and motivated. As far as events, UTEP promotes itself very efficiently. Minerpalooza is an event hosted on campus to promote the season-opener game for the football season. This event is similar to a fair, and many students and residents of the city attend every year.

As far as preparing students for achieving their goals, UTEP opens doors. Internships are available through school programs or advertised to give students a broader view. Opportunities are presented for programs outside of El Paso, giving students the chance to step outside the front door. The University prepares students to be first-rate versions of themselves, with a staff dedicated to the school’s vision of growing and changing for the best. The students may be diverse, but everyone seems to smile and be very approachable.

Majors: There are not really any difficulties to get into any of my two majors, but it is totally important to be dedicated and really creative. My professors have been really helpful, but strict as well. They easily can tell if you are meant for this program or not.

Majors: I do enjoy my program, because they are different but work with the same creativity. Here in UTEP there are a lot of facilities for art majors, as well as for communication students. Internships opportunities are everywhere in this campus. However, professors help you to get in touch with different agencies or programs that will help you to increase your resume. Also, there are different organizations in and outside campus that are available for art and communication majors.

5 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: Everything is really close to UTEP. That's a really good thing. If you want to do something fun after a stress out test, the nest side of the street there are a lot of places to go to.

2 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: I really hate dealing with my financial aid at school. It is the worst, I do always have a problems a month before school classes begin. I felt stressed because the last minute I have to go the office, making calls and everything. It is really tedious.

Health & Safety: There has no been that kind of problems in school. Just a few lack of safety escort service
