Off-Campus Dining: I love that Whataburger, Jack In the Box, Taco Bell, all of these places are literally right off campus, but it is kind of a bummer that student discounts dont apply, if they do, i've never heard of it. AND what's worse is that so many places exist off campus SOLELY BECAUSE THERE IS NO CAFETERIA ON CAMPUS. so the living expenses (food in this case) cause students to have little to no money.

Off-Campus Dining: Personally, I prefer to go eat off-campus mainly because it's cheaper and there are more options. I don't mind having to walk a bit in order to get good food, even if it is fast food (McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Whataburger, etc). There are also some local places that are good on the students' wallets and offer good cuisine.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Been to some really good places to eat and some really bad.No matter what anyone says chicos tacos is horrible.

2 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: I feel it is limited with just poor quality of healthy food availability.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a variety of fast food restaurants around the school, the cost of them are reasonable. However, it would Vince for one to have great authentic food, something that you can't get anywhere else!

Various eateries are scattered around UTEP. Each restaurant represents the area's unique touch, with every corner revealing something different, like a small pizzeria or a steakhouse. Sushi eateries are popular around campus, as well, along with fast food restaurants. Students can choose from a wide variety, and all restaurants are within walking distance from school, so setting up a date after class with a special someone is pretty easy.

Recently, UTEP finished constructing a building that houses restaurants for students and residents. Prices vary at these eateries, but they are generally affordable and not exaggerated. The atmosphere is very active and friendly off campus, so making new friends is not a difficult task. If you say hello to a stranger in El Paso, the greeting is usually returned. Feel free to walk around and take a look into each restaurant. Generally, restaurants are located within walking distance from campus and also from each other. You can eat crawfish at Crawdaddy’s or change your mind and have some steak at Dane’s Steakhouse across the street.
