3 College Junior

Facilities: all of the athletic centers are top notch, the library is nice, the overrall exterior of the campus is beautiful, I really like the campus event held prior to exams, it's actually the best thing i've seen, the faculty gets together and makes a big midnight breakfast, and this past semester it actually resembled a rave. really cool.

3 College Senior

Facilities: Student life on campus is okay, although it could be better. Organizations could organize more student activities and involve the students a lot more.

3 College Senior

Facilities: They have a lot of school spirit.

4 College Senior

Facilities: Classrooms AC and heat vary. Most of the time they are too cold even in the winter. Tons of events, never been to any though.

4 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: The library is actually one of the best places on campus, except when there are many students there and internet connection becomes a hassle.

Since its original founding as the Texas State School of Mines and Metallurgy in 1914, UTEP has been expanding and covering new ground in education, athletics, and culture. Always conforming to the challenges of a fast-paced world, UTEP brings in new programs and facilities in order to pursue advancement in knowledge. Three new buildings are under construction and expected to be complete by the summer of 2011. A new Health and Science Building is being constructed, as well as a computer science facility and a new student training facility (which will be similar to the recreation facility at the University of Texas).

The campus facilities have a beautiful architecture, inspired by the region of Bhutan. Overall, campus grounds are well maintained. Custodian and grounds crews constantly keep a clean and trimmed landscape, with a walk through campus proving to be a soothing experience. Students enjoy movies at the cinema located in the Union. Students can also enjoy lounges, eateries, and dance clubs within walking distance from campus. UTEP will occasionally hold a dinner theater located in the Union, a popular event among both students and faculty.
