Guys & Girls: It seems as though with a population as diverse as the one at UT, there's someone for everyone.

Campus Housing: People that I have seen reviewing campus housing tend to say that they haven't even lived on campus; how fair is that? I seem to be of the dissenting opinion. I love living on campus. I live in the large all-women residence hall, Kinsolving. I have really loved getting to know the girls living with me and the sense of community there. There are several events a week for residents to participate in, and they try to cater to pretty much every girl's interests. It is a bit cost-prohibitive to live on campus, but you pay for convenience. The staff are extremely helpful as well.

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few places off-campus that are still within walking distance. There seems to be everything from fast food chains to ethnic cuisine. I'm very pleased with the variety.

Guys & Girls: The girls are gorgeous to say the least. They usually dress comfortably as well.

Health & Safety: I have yet to be in the situation where I need to visit the Health & Safety center, but I've only heard good things about the place.

3 College Freshman

Computers: I own a laptop, but I've seen plenty of on campus computers that were available for use for students.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It's usually extremely hot, which can make walking to class miserable, but it isn't all that bad. Not too much of a problem.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: People are extremely friendly and open-minded! People can do whatever they want without the fear of being judged.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: There are programs for just about anything! I love it! Keeps everything diverse!

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I was fortunate to receive financial aid, but no scholarships that the university was able to offer.

3 College Freshman

Parking: I honestly don't own a car, but from what my friends tell me, the parking isn't the best.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: My living situation is straightened out, but I have plenty of friends who are having a troublesome time looking for a place to stay next year.

Local Atmosphere: Austin is just an amazing city overall. There's always something to do.

Overall Experience: The University of Texas at Austin is the BEST choice I could've made. The campus is amazing and the people here are loving and accepting.

Greek Life: Personally, the whole Greek Life thing seems really high school.

Off-Campus Dining: The food off campus is pretty solid. I live off campus so I've dabbed my hand in a few places.

Campus Dining: The food isn't too bad, it's just kind of pricey for the amount we're given.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I am very happy with the program that my university has been able to provide for me.

Campus Strictness: Have ID and don't park in bad spots.

Off-Campus Dining: Austin is known for their diversity. There are nice, expensive restaurants as well as cheaper options. Whether you're vegan or wanting a giant hamburger there are multiple options within walking distance. Also, along the drag (the street located on the west side of campus) restaurants offer student discounts.

Majors: I love it because my program is the top in the state. It's extremely difficult to get into my program, but our advisors provide us with incredible support and opportunities to ensure we reach our full potential and don't feel too stressed throughout the process.

Majors: Part of our Nursing program at UT is an internship at one of the hospitals in Austin. I am still a pre-nursing major so I've not gotten information on all the Nursing track courses. I believe our main hospital is Brackenridge, but I think we also work part of the time at Dell Children's Hospital. I'm not concerned about finding an internship because there's already a connection setup through the school.

Guys & Girls: The student body is as diverse as you might expect with us being centrally located in Austin. Everyone is smart, but some in the hidden, not expected way and others in the blatantly nerdy way. Some people are obviously artsy while others are strictly science/math driven. With as many students as there are on campus, you're sure to find at a couple of every type of person.

Greek Life: Joining a sorority is the second best decision I've ever made (behind deciding to go to UT). I've met all my best friends through it, it's already provided me with amazing opportunities (after just one semester) and it's helped me with the transition into college way more than I expected. We are the social scene, but we are academically driven and we do actually work to improve our community through service.

Transportation: It's not difficult to get anywhere unless you're trying to leave the city and don't have a car.

Most students agree that they have loved their time here at UT, and they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. College is the best time of your life, and I can’t think of a better place to spend it than at the University of Texas. Students get a great education while having an awesome college town with everything at their disposal. Don’t try to graduate early. Enjoy your time at UT—go cheer on the Longhorns at all the home games for all sports: football, basketball, baseball, intramurals. See the amenities that the Forty Acres has to offer—the Harry Ransom Center, go to our libraries and see our more than eight million volumes. Go to Gregory Gym and the Rec Center—you have a free gym membership for four years or more—use it.

I came to UT convinced that I was going to transfer to a school in California in the spring. I spent two days here before school started and I never wanted to leave, even to go home and visit my parents and high school friends! I couldn’t leave because I was always afraid that I would miss something because there was always something exciting going on. If you are worried about the fact that UT is so big, don’t. All you have to do is find your niche, and everything else should fall into place. You can find it within your dorm, apartment, organization, fraternity, sorority, or classmates. Although, at times, it may seem overwhelming, UT is not nearly as big as it sounds. All you have to do is make friends, which you will, and the campus will seem infinitely smaller. Come join us!
