4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: All of the positives greatly outweigh the negatives at this university

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: As a business city, Tampa is generally a pretty safe place to live and attend school. I see a lot of younger generations living in Tampa, in their 20's and 30's and few younger families. There's also a huge variety of entertainment venues and professional sports as well.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: gr8 place to study and live in.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: At night of course people have to be careful but there is always things going on in the area especially across the river at Curtis Hixon Park. There is football and hockey usually close by that students go to. Gasparilla was close by to the University and tons of students went to have fun. They have special festivals that go on at Curtis Hixon. On campus there is always something going on that the school encourages us to go to in an email usually. The area is very safe when such events go on. Students really have a good time especially since the weather is amazing when going out.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I love where the school is located. There are a lot to do around the area.

Tampa is a great place to come for academics and fun. Theme parks, roller coasters, beaches, water sports, football, baseball, hockey, shopping, restaurants, art, theatre, museums, culture—it's all here.

More than 3.3 million people call the Tampa Bay area home. Latin American, African, Asian, Caribbean, and European influences all add spice to this historic cultural crossroads, and to have the opportunity to attend UT and experience this entire mix of cultures is something that you must not pass up. The University of Tampa offers a great variety of things, but one of its best assets is the atmosphere.
