3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Definitely something for everyone, but students living on campus usually eat the meal plan.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Off Campus Dining is pretty much the same as those at other college towns. There are plenty of places to go with big groups that serve usual college kids favorites like pizza that have really good atmosphere that we are looking for. Also there are plenty of places give you a lot for what you are paying, as a college student getting the most out of my money is so important. There are also places that are for those who want to have a nice sit down date away from all the craziness that comes along with being a college student

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of choices when deciding where to eat. The variety and convenience of the dining options are very pleasant. I don't have experience with the student discounts yet but I have read about and heard that they are wonderful.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: USC always has places to eat off campus. My personal favorite for "family dinners" is Yesterday's in 5 points because it's cheap, good Southern food. Perfect for s poor college bloke.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Definitely a ton of places to eat off-campus at all hours of the day/night. Most have specials every day on something, so it's always affordable. New this year, restaurants are starting to accept Carolina Cash as payment.

While students may complain about campus food, the plethora of off-campus restaurants makes up for what may be lacking on campus. Most of the student favorites, such as the many restaurants in Five Points, Beezer’s, the Salty Nut, and the Pita Pit are all within walking distance of campus. The diversity of the food options off campus allows students to choose from virtually any type of ethnic food at a range of prices, and with Columbia being a college town, many restaurants offer late-night deliveries when most other places are closed.

Whether it’s dinner with friends, a hot date, a late-night study snack, or just an escape from campus food, the off-campus dining scene provides quality food with a broad range of choices for students to enjoy. You will definitely not go hungry in a city like Columbia!
