5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I'm convinced that everyone who goes to this school is a good person. Everyone is genuinely nice and wants to help each other out.

3 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: I thought it was bad in high school, but the guys here are cocky and stuck up, and they're not even that good looking. Or maybe that's the fraternity brothers.

5 College Senior

Guys & Girls: I am a woman so I am biased.

5 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls at Rochester are such amazing people! You will not find more awesome people in any other school!

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The people here are incredibly friendly and incredibly nerdy. We all have specific areas that we're interested in and when we get excited about them, we rattle off facts that seem boring to other people, but to us are incredibly cool. We're also a very accepting community. We all know that we're weird, but it's why we all work as one community. We don't care what people wear, who they date, what they're interested in or what they look like.

There is a geeky constituency at UR, seeing that it is a science-intensive school, but there are a fair share of attractive guys. Intellectually, there is a good chance of finding a guy who is not lacking in the brains department. The girls tend to be attractive and very put together, for the most part. They tend to be described in the middle scale of attractiveness. Everyone finds everyone else is friendly, so if nothing else, we all play well with others.

Because it is a school where all the students are on the same level intellectually, you will develop good relationships with people that are long-lasting. The only complaint of students is that both guys and girls tend not to approach others they don't know, so some maintain the people are unfriendly at UR. However, at parties, people will get friendly and get to know each other better. Whether they talk to you the next time they see you on campus is another matter. There tends to be a flurry in the beginning of the year in terms of hookups and relationships, and it calms down as the school year progresses. Both sides have their share of attractive ones, and if relationships don't blossom, there's always the view.
