3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The recreation and other student activities could be better.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The scenery around Rio is beautiful. Tycoon Lake offers outdoor recreation.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Once a semester a club in Point Pleasant, WV allows Rio students to come and acts as a night club. Other than that, the closest night clubs are in Athens.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Many chain restaurants in Rio Grande proper but there are a few mom and pop places. Zack and Scotty's is a popular choice among many students.

3 College Senior

Nightlife: You just have to pay attention to when things are happening

Off-Campus Dining: walking distance there isn't many, but if you are willing to drive into town you have a lot of options.

Greek Life: Joining my sorority was an awesome decision. These girls are my sisters and we are extremely close. Greek life was starting to down slope but we are definitely picking it back up

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Had trouble with scheduling some classes

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: It depends which field you are going into

4 College Senior

Facilities: Living on Rio's campus was one of the best decisions I made. I met a lot more people this way and enjoyed my overall experience more.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Closer to campus = higher prices and not the greatest condition

Farther from campus = slightly lower prices and better conditions

3 College Senior

Majors: Had to have certain classes, grade point average, at least 21 on ACT, then you can apply to the school of Education.

3 College Senior

Majors: I don't really feel like I'm learning everything I need to know.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: There is the rio run around where you have to go to more than one person to get a question answered and you have to stay on top of stuff you want done.

5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Never find friendlier or nicer people

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: It really depends on the day, time of day, and what they are serving. I've had great experiences and bad, but never a absolutely horrible day.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: I don't consider alcohol a drug, but there is hardly any other activity except for some occasional activity.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: I lived in the dorm for 3 years. I loved the atmosphere and really being apart of the campus. They need some updating but they were always good about safety and keeping up with needs/complaints.

4 College Junior

Computers: Plenty of updated nice computers. Very rarely are all of the computers in one location taken.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It is a dry campus because Rio Grande is a dry village.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: You can walk down the side walk and know everyone you passed. Everyone is friendly and nice.

3 College Junior

Parking: Compared to other Universities, price is not bad. However, you have to have your car in order to get any where and spots fill up too quickly.

4 College Junior

Academics: They get you out in the field your first year to get your feet wet and out in the classrooms.

3 College Junior

Academics: Professors, faculty, and other students are great. However, sometimes I feel like there are too many extra classes that do not pertain to my major, and a few that do pertain to my major I feel am not fully benefiting from them.

2 College Junior

Transportation: You have your car, friends car, or occasional University transportation.
