5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: So many options to choose from everywhere you go.

5 College Junior

Campus Dining: Buffet options for all, i.e. vegan, vegetarian, healthy diet, meat eaters.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Campus dining options are pretty great. There are multiple places to eat, including our own campus-run restaurant. The dining hall itself offers a variety of options, and makes a conscientious effort to appeal to student's wants. Honestly, I prefer the food I eat at school to the food when I go back home.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The on campus dining hall, cafes, and restaurant are all amazing.

There really isn’t much selection at all as far as on-campus dining is concerned. Undergrads usually eat all their meals at the main dining hall, E. Bruce Heilman Dining Center (D-Hall). The food isn’t half bad here, especially at breakfast. During the week, D-Hall offers an omelet bar, which is a favorite among students. There are also theme nights where exotic food is served. The University hires outside companies to cater these events and even brings in professional sushi chefs for the Asian-themed meal. Aside from these meals, the food is edible, but not amazing. Tyler’s Grill (the Pier) is great for a quick snack, but the selection is severely limited and you can only eat so many chicken sandwiches. The Cellar offers great food, but requires a longer time commitment and is only open for dinner.

One of the strengths of the University is that it offers many different and flexible meal plan options. Although freshmen are required to buy the full plan, less extensive plans are favored by the upperclassmen, the most popular of these being Spider Flex which gives students $1290 to spend at on-campus dining however they want. One bonus in this plan is that it can be used to buy beer at the Cellar. Students have been known to use up their entire meal plan within the first few months of the semester on beer alone.
