Average. Menus are repetitive, but prices are good.

They have lots of variety, but it's the same some days. We normally get bored sometimes. Although, they have a creamery which is awesome, lots of cakes, ice creams etc.

We have a street called "Calle Bosque" where we go and hang out. Since we can drink legally from age 18 and up, the have good prices on the alcohol. Other wise, we have clubs, cinemas, restaurants etc.

Our team spirit is awesome! We are big on our soccer and basketball team and we love to cheer in the home games.

They are strict, but at the same time they want the students to express themselves. Even though this university is big on Engineering, we are big in the arts department too. The police around the campus are friendly and they are always willing to help you with what you need.

I really love the opportunities of entertainment off campus, you can find a nice coffee shop, or a spot to have some drinks, there's also places to go to dance.

It's very hot during May, August and September. It also rains almost every afternoon. Just always keep an umbrella on your backpack and you'll be good to go.

You can never predict when will the bus arrive at the designated bus stop. They are only good from the external parking lot where they pick up students. I've waited hours for a bus, making the transportation completely futile. Walking is the easiest option to move inside the campus if you do not own a car.

All students who are applicable receive the Pell Scholarship, which luckily covers tuition. Puerto Rico is a poor island and we are lucky to receive this scholarship.

UPR Mayagüez Campus offers an active nightlife due to the fact that students from all over Puerto Rico reside around the campus and stay awake due to tests or other activities.

Public transportation is very good. There are buses that transport students from the parking to the campus and they work all day.

My campus doesn't have dorms but they are very strict about grades. If you get an 2.00 or less GPA you get immediate suspension or go on probationary period and if you don't improve your grades you get kicked out.

The University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez is a very challenging university .Students that come to study here are mainly studying Engineering and Science. There are a lot of foreign students from South America which are treated equally as us and since they speak the same language it's easy for them to adapt.

Some professors are mediocre, but there's always a group that cares for the students. The curriculum has good variety and the registration process is not difficult at all!

During the morning, weather is really good. Sadly, during afternoons, especially after 3 P.M., it rains every single day.

The places around campus are always full, but prices and variety are excellent. As for in-campus dining, it's both good and bad; prices and food are good, but people who work there are most of times angry, so it's difficult to get a nice welcome at the place.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
