Academics: If you study here everyone will respect you because it is very hard. Every major is important and you take so many different courses during your bachelors degree. It is an honor tu study here.

5 Recent Alumnus

Academics: If you work hard, everything will be good.

Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: There is no housing in the University.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: It is the best University in Puerto Rico.

3 Recent Alumnus

Local Atmosphere: It's a student city, so usually on the weekends there is no one in Mayag├╝ez.

Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: I don't believe in the greek life, it is very different than the US Universities.

3 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: I haven't had this type of experience, but I have heard of people who have, they have gone to the police, but the University doesn't play a role in these type of problems.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: Since I was an honor student I didn't have to pay my tuition. I only had to pay some fees.

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of options for students who study in this University.

3 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Housing: In Puerto Rico, most of the Universities don't have On-Campus housing, the options for off-campus is the only option when studying in this University, unless you are an athlete.

3 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: Honestly, even though there is a lot of movement in sports events in the University, I didn't go to any of the games.

4 Recent Alumnus

Guys & Girls: Everybody is unique in there way. Puertoricans are known to be very friendly and very open minded.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The university is distinguished for being the best in Puerto Rico. The academics area is tough, but totally possible. Plus, every year they have a job fair where you can apply for interships and its a great way to start networking.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Preparing for a career is hard, and that is why the classes are tough. They want us to learn everything we possibly can and they push us hard, but once we finish it feels grest. We suffered through the hard parts for the best reward.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The diversity at campus is ok. They respect all religions and cultures.

1 College Sophomore

Scholarships: My university has NO scholarships available, only the FAFSA. And many times the financial aid officials don't help. Its a real problem.

Campus Strictness: They're pretty lenient at my university. They pretty much let us do what we want. When it involves breaking into someplace, or drug use, or violence they take it seriously.

Recent Alumnus

Athletics: I am not involved in the athletic area but I used the facilities of the gym in the campus and they are pretty great!

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: I like that CUNY system has different campus that the students can take courses. If your school doesn't offer the course you want but another CUNY campus offers it that semester you can submit a permit very easy. The opportunities of internships in my major are incredible. As an art historian I found different amazing opportunities in New York City.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: The professors are very knowledgeable but I feel that the methodology to teach the courses in general can be better. I will like more the participation of the professor in the classes instead the classmates discussion of their topic or reading. I learn more from the professor than from the students. Although its great to know what other students read and interpreted I like to hear from the professor's experience and knowledge/

Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: I can talked about the security that is very good, they always check your id's in every building but rather than that I am not familiar with other campus strictness. As a graduate student, I take my classes and leave the campus.

4 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: Regarding ethnic/racial diversity I rated 4 because when I was a tutor in the Spanish language for the Department of Foreign Languages I met a lot people from different parts of the world. Africa, Latin America, Asia and European assist constantly to the tutoring hours and I think they feel very accepted in the campus.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Members of the Greek system blend in with the rest of the students.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Most students do not use drugs on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: It is only available for athletes.
