5 College Student

Athletics: la universidad tiene un ambiente deportivo excelente para todos con igualdad para todos los estudiantes

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Since the parties are very crowded many students have access to drugs and alcohol. Although alcohol and drug abuse is barely noticeable, many students take part in using or consuming drugs. The school helps this students by taking them to a healthcare proffesional.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Everyday it rains at 1:00 pm. If its not raining it is very hot but a great tropical sunny weather.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: My college is very diverse in regards to all of the aspects mentioned above. Many people accept the different points of view of others so there is little challenge for those that are different.

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: Lot's of people and most of the time it is calm. Most of the people that attend this parties have 18+ years which is the legal age of drinking in Puerto Rico. The bars are always crowded but outside of the bar there is usually a very good and relax environment.

Off-Campus Housing: There are lot of off-campus housing options near the university. There is a wide price range too amongst this options. If you want some housing that is very cheap and very close to the school, you can find housing from 175 dollars a month. Normally this housing optios dont have a secure parking spot and the place is not safe at nights. There are also some options a little more expensive but safer and with a secure parking while still being close to the school. This type of housing ranges from 900-1500 dollars a month but it is worth since you are a little more safe. The school housing is reserved for the athletes. So every other student must find housing outside of campus.

Greek Life: There are several fraternities/sororities in my college. Most students that are not part of a fraternity/sorority like me, are indifferent towards Greeks and it is the same vice versa. Since the Greek life is not that big in my campus there are no housing options for Greeks.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I know some of my peers that have financial aid and they say that it's not bad but it isn't good either. They told me that sometimes they dont receive the financial aid payment in time but that the officials that work with that resolve the issues quick enough.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: The campus shuttlles are convenient since they are free to use and leave you at great locations. There are shuttles that go to most of the campus buildings so there's no need to walk a lot.

1 College Freshman

Parking: They are usually a few spots in the regular student parking. Students that are in their third year or beyond their third year are the only ones that can park in this parking because in order to park you need a permit. The permit can only be obtained by the third year students or students that are beyond their third year. This parking is also easily flooded whenever a heavy rain falls.

2 College Freshman

Computers: There are some computer labs in my college. The problem with this labs are that most of the computers cannot be trusted since they are slow and out of date. The computers of the laboratories have problems connecting with the internet and if the computer connects successfully to the internet then the speed is slow. The need for having a personal computer or laptop is extremely important since it avoids all of the mentioned problems.

2 College Freshman

Athletics: Im part of the soccer team of my school. Our soccer field is not flat and it has lots of holes. The goals have the net broken and to replace them it takes at least 2 months. Although many students support the sports, and many go to watch the varsity games, information about intramurals is not spread through the campus. Also, our gym equipment is out of date and many of the machines are broken. Lots of students go to this gym and although there is a great variety of machines many of them, if not all have, visible damage.

Campus Dining: There is only one cafeteria in the campus. This cafeteria always sells the same food. The menu includes pasta, pizza, sandwiches and local food. Although there is some variety in the menu, the food is always the same. Since there is no meal plan for regular students, most people decide not to eat in the campus.

3 College Student

College Junior

Transportation: I use my personal vehicle

Off-Campus Dining: The best place is Pollo Tropical. You get to eat like you are in home for $5.75 the daily special. One different every day. Be sure to know the special menus from each place and you may eat outside well for around $30.00 a week.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: There are some few robberies of computers and stuff like that during the semester. But I haven't had any incident in my 6 years at the college.

College Junior

Campus Housing: Living on campus is just for athletes.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Your parents or you need to have very low income to get some kind of aid. There is always the option of loans.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I live actually off campus. About 15 min walking distance. There are many options depending on budget but most of the time you find great places in comparison for your investment. The landlords let you paint and make it the way yo want. Most of the areas are just students all around the university living places.

5 College Junior

Computers: Super fast internet. Many places to print. Definitely can leave my laptop at home.

5 College Junior

Facilities: I think its the perfect balance between modern and natural.

4 College Junior

Facilities: In Puerto Rico there is no other College with Agriculture and Natural Sciences programs. And I think food security and agriculture is the most important thing a person should be educating in.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There is always something to do. The shopping is near. There are museums, beaches and theathers just in town.
