3 College Senior

Scholarships: My experience has been satisfactory, because it has helped defray the costs of tuition and books. Also, it helps in some cost of gas and lunch. Fortunately, I do not had problems with the scholarship and I could have it during my college life.

Overall Experience: In general, I do not regret choosing the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao, because, even though the campus physical conditions are not the best, we have an excellent academic quality and cheapest university in Puerto Rico. Also, I have had experiences in extracurricular activities, of which I have learned a lot about other situations that we face in the workplace and in daily life. Definitely, one is a person when it comes to college and when you graduate you're a completely different person.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: The campus has only one place to eat, sometimes they offer the same menus, but there were some changes and, usually, students are satisfied with the new services.

2 College Senior

Weather: The constant rains and storm warnings disrupt classes on several occasions, and presented floods and accidents are prevented by flowing rivers where many bridges near the university. But, most of the time, we can have an acceptable climate that allows us to study.

3 College Senior

Academics: I'm proud to be in my last academic year, even though the courses are not easy and we quite complicated academic load. However, I had the opportunity to belong to the Association of Students of Management and be part of the policy. Also, I have belonged to the Rock Band university and the table tennis team, which makes my college life better and to make the most of it.

Academics: In the UPRH, teachers are the best in your area. I'm in my senior year in Management and all I can say that I learned a lot, although they have been demanding and sometimes we complicate classes. Also, I feel that I have the necessary tools for when you need to start working life.

Nightlife: There are not many choices of places near the UPRH night. Is this place famous and the most visited by the students, because is located in front of College. In this place you can consume alcoholic beverages, food, pool tables, music, and other entertainment methods.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: In the UPRH there are a variety of styles of people. The important thing is that you will always find people with whom to identify you and with whom you can share outside and inside the Campus.

5 College Senior

Drug Safety: The drug scene in the UPRH is very limited. People who use drugs and alcohol in remote areas do not influence other people to do so. On campus there is almost no drug problems or alcohol situations, if they happen are out of college.

2 College Senior

Facilities: The Students Center in the Campus is under repair, so we do not have a place to distract us at the moment, but the University has a gym and a tennis where students can avail of these facilities at any time. There is also a track in good condition for runners, tennis court and a pool for swimming class and students in general.

1 College Senior

Transportation: Transportation services is very poor. The area where the university is located do not have public transport and most students must take our own car.

1 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: In UPRH there is very little interaction with other universities, although there are schools nearby. All we have around to spend free time is the mall that is opposite the university. Sometimes we visit the shops to leave the academic routine.

1 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: In the city of Humacao we do not many options for lodging. Rent is expensive for students, and the cost of gas is more effective, to pay the rent of the apartments. However, there are people who can afford the cost, because they work and have other sources of income.

4 College Senior

Athletics: College sports are an important part of the community. The athletes always give a good representation and we are proud of them, but they are given more value to academic performance. These athletes are admirable, because they have to work double time to achieve compliance with academic and athletic goals. I was to table tennis team and I am proud to have represented the UPRH with good positions.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus restaurants are very normal. We don't have many options, but the cost is reasonable and we can find some local food places. "El PicĂș" is my favorite places to eat, because there are creole food at a great price, and have excellent customer service.

1 College Senior

Computers: The technological equipment in the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao is very limited. The computers in the labs are working with many problems, but those found in classrooms don't have internet services, and WiFi. Sometimes, the students have laptops, but do not connect to internet.

1 College Sophomore

Transportation: If you don't have a car, you are screwed. public transportation is pretty much non-existent.

2 College Sophomore

Academics: I wanted to study in UPRH because it's the best school on PR on the Natural Sciences department and it's 5 mins away from my house. The class availability is poor but the professors are very knowledgeable, most of them don't give a damn about the student though.

3 College Junior

Academics: This university is one of the best in Puerto Rico. but in my opinion they specialize more in areas like science because their curriculum and recent works are for these students. In general, teachers are prepared but are people that this is their only job. The registration process of a headache is very difficult to get classes as the years go by. The normal workload always stronger at the end of the year. Almost no special options.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: My university is located in front of a bar. But also about theclose to a police plac so drugs and alchol are controlled. We know about students that use drugs and alchol but it is not very noticeable.Any student go consuming this things freely see, they use to hide or go to friends places to do it. Actually at my college environment is very relax.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Athletes quite support. We have very good teams and athletes. Competing students are very excited and support their teams. The gym and the areas that they use are in very bad conditions but they still do a very good performance. I'm very proud of my althetes strive for much more than others because they do not have many facilities, only with the support of the students themselves.

2 College Junior

Academics: From my point of view the curriculum of my program is very weak. Not provide enough facilities for students. The aid are limited. I participated for one year in an exchange program outside of my college. Job opportunities and internships are few and difficult to apply. I would like change my institution but economic situation does not allow me. It is a curriculum with little time so you do not experience much with the staff because they are not ready to prepare students.

College Freshman

Greek Life: As my knowledge, my college do not provide Greek Life.

2 College Freshman

Academics: Is so difficult to obtain information regarding schoolarships, anyone knows and not take the time to know and help us.

1 College Junior

Computers: In the UPR-H we have many computer laboratories, but they are barely in a good condition to use. In comparison with other universities we can say that we at least have something, but I preferred to say that the things we have are in good conditions to use.
