College Senior

Greek Life: We do not have a greek system

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: It can be hit or miss

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: St. Johns is the closest and it is full of cute shops and restaurants

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Public safety works hard to make the campus safe and the students are very involved in preventing sexual assault

4 College Senior

Diversity: Lots of international students and clubs

3 College Senior

Academics: Professors are great, some get a little to into the catholic aspect of it but it is a catholic school

3 College Senior

Academics: interesting classes but you tend not to know many people in your major

3 College Senior

Nightlife: Not to many, everything gets broken up quickly

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: If I could do it all over, I would choose UP again. I would do it because academically they are in great standing, the school is in Portland one of the greatest cities ever, and socially its very welcoming without the falsehood that other schools project to get student's to apply.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: There's not much I can say when I hardly ever attend school games. But I have been told of the fun that people have when attending the soccer games which are all the rage in autumn.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: They go only so far as reminding you how much you owe them, and the process you need to get things back on track. If you make time for financial aid, then everything seems easy, but if you fall behind it could be awhile before things turn out as you want them to.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I love the buildings, each one has its own perks and flaws, there is a different atmosphere in each one. It makes the college experience all the more unique and memorable as you make friends in each building and participate in school events.

2 College Sophomore

Diversity: I was very surprised and kind of scared to find out that UP is mostly white people. I have always gone to schools that are extremely diverse, and when I arrived at UP I found out that I was the minority it totally blew my mind. But the reality check, helped me meet wonderful people, who are interested in learning about my culture.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I love the variety, which switches with dishes from around the world often, but the days everyone loves the most are Spanish, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisine days.

1 College Sophomore

Greek Life: We do not have a Greek Life on my campus.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: It's a mixed group, you have the usual cliques, preps, jocks, intellectuals, and then you have everything mixed into one type of people. At UP people are real about their identity, and their likes and dislikes. No one is pretending to be anything their not, they take the "over 18 I'm legal to do what I want, this is Portland" attitude seriously. It makes campus feel fun and different.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Inter-visitation hours are upheld for the most part, and that really makes everyone feel safe. I love knowing I can walk around in my PJs to the bathroom, and that I won't be embarrassed to see a guy walking around after Inter-visitation hours are over. If there is a dorm that is being loud after hours, just one phone call will get the RA's to come out and settle things, without any trouble or miscommunication. Residence Halls are safe at night and day.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: On campus, it seems like your in a different place, there's this feeling in the air, of peace, of tranquility, the campus is beautiful, the trees provide shade on a sunny day and the grand windows provide an excellent view of the campus and the Willamette river, as well as downtown Portland. The library has been recently remodeled and its comfortable, spacious, and provides a great environment for studying. There are few buildings that squeak in any way, or are in bad condition.
