Overall Experience at University of Phoenix - Online: Overall, I am glad to be getting my degree at my own pace, on my own time while still being able to work full time. I wish I would have had more details about the eventual cost versus a real campus, and that you are really teaching yourself with an online environment.

Student Body at University of Phoenix - Online: I have had some great team members that I have worked with, but others have been a nightmare. I have never met any of them in person, as all interaction is online and focused on our project.

Academic Experience at University of Phoenix - Online: The online aspect is convenient, but for what I am paying, the actual classes are sorely lacking. My electives were chosen for me and I was given no choice. The schedule of the classes was out of order, and this affected how well I did in one class when I didn't have the class that should have come first. The instructors just mediate the online discussions, and grade projects. You teach yourself.

Academic Experience at University of Phoenix - Online: The Elementary Education program is okay. The classes were easy, the material easy to learn, but no real instruction. I relied on my observations in an actual school to learn the theories taught in my classroom.

Tuition & Financial Aid at University of Phoenix - Online: I feel that with online schools, tuition needs to be much lower. I am essentially teaching myself, using the schools online system and online text books. the cost of the credits are about 350 to 450, which I can get at a traditional campus. They should be half this for what I am doing myself.

Campus Resources at University of Phoenix - Online: The online resources are decent, but the new student portal is a nightmare. It takes twice as long to find anything.

Online Courses at University of Phoenix - Online: Convenience is the best part. The classwork is a joke. Most of your grade is directly linked with a group of students you are assigned to work with, and you communicate via student forums, emails and sometimes phone calls. you hope everyone has the same work ethic ad level of knowledge so that you get a good grade. There is always a student who does little work and expects the rewards of the team. The instructors do not instruct, they mediate the discussion forum and give you a grade. You are teaching yourself. And god forbid you have a technical issue in an online classroom causing delays with your projects. 0 tolerance policy, and no way around it.

Overall Experience at University of Phoenix - Online: The school sets up networking socials, mock interviews, resume writing seminars and other things to help students and alumni. Ultimately this is up the the person to tack advantage of what the school offers.

Overall Experience at University of Phoenix - Online: I am in an online classroom setting. You teach yourself and the instructors are just there to ask questions, answer what they can and give you a grade. The classes are basically a text book you read, then answers the instructor questions. Little to no traditional teaching from the instructors. They are really only mediators. The classes themselves are a joke. They give you a theory behind the concept, then tell you to either go observe how this concept is done in the real world, then write a paper on it after only seeing it once, or write a paper after only reading the theory.

Overall Experience at University of Phoenix - Online: Unfortunately, I am not aware of any career prospects that tie in with the UoP.

Overall Experience at University of Phoenix - Online: Class size is perfect, just enough students to keep the discussions going, but not too many that the professor cannot answer personal questions. The professors are very professional and helpful.

Student Body at University of Phoenix - Online: In the online classroom, all of the students I have interacted with are polite, courteous, and friendly. All of us students are here to learn. It appears that the classrooms are pretty diverse when it comes to ethnicity, religion, and gender. I think having a diverse class helps the discussions to stay interesting and active.

Campus Resources at University of Phoenix - Online: While physical campuses do exist, I have chosen to pursue my degree using the online campus that the UoP offers. With that being said, there are no physical resources. Online the UoP offers a library that is a bit different than a physical library, but it is a big help with my studies.

The student experience at the University of Phoenix, from the enrollment counselors to the faculty, is very unique and personable. There's a genuine interest in assisting students, whether it has to do with admissions, enrollment, financial aid, or classes. The flexibility in taking online classes while holding down a job is critical to enrollment. The University can benefit anyone, from people with disabilities to single parents. The curriculum is very beneficial in any business enterprise.

The classes are very advantageous to students. Many times, the lessons students learn in classes play out in current events and appear on the news, linking the curriculum together with the "real world." This allows students to better grasp the subject and be able to engage peers in a conversation about current events and the effects in their local communities. Plus, the professors engage students in discussions and give them very clear, concise instructions on the assignments. Most professors or facilitators are pretty credible in their field, as well, with a doctoral degree or master's in the subject they are teaching.
