5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am working towards a Bachelors in Criminal justice, also working towards a Major in Psychology so that I can become a Forensic Psychologist. There are not many students going into that field. Right now the case load is light, but is starting to become a bit more. The job opportunities are few in the State of Oklahoma, but I am willing to relocate when the time comes for job searching.

Academic Experience: The class registration process is simple and University of Phoenix offers new students a free application process. Which is great for an individual that cannot come up with the money right a way. The University offers online Live Tutors as well as one-on one tutors for a student that is having some trouble understanding that particular course. Certain classes have students group into teams and also provides team assignments that are graded and counts towards the credits for that particular course. The instructors/professors that work there are very helpful and make sure each student has his/her contact information in case there is some confusion on what needs to be done on individual assignments, and will also set aside a certain time to talk one-on-one with the student before/after class. The programs that I have found that many students are majoring in Business Management and Nursing.

Facilities: Personally speaking, I believe the academic advisors that the University of Phoenix appoints to each student is very helpful. The AA (academic advisor) helps coach the individual through out his/her college experience. The first two years the AA is calling on a weekly/bi-weekly to keep updated on the experience that the individual is going through. If there were any type of complication the AA tries to help the individual, if the AA is not able to find a solution then he/she goes that extra mile by calling directors and setting up meetings between the director and the student.

The only issue I find disappointing is that the University of Phoenix does not recycle, but that is something I am working on and hopefully will succeed at changing.

Student Body: The student body is well grounded. The level of acceptance from a diverse background is accepted with ease and makes the individual fit in with the rest of the students/peers. I have yet to experience any challenges in the year I have been going to the University of Phoenix.

Online Courses: The online course are great to use when an individual has an active schedule, but it takes away from the one-on-one contact with people. That type of contact is very important, especially when majoring in fields that will have the individual dealing with people on a day to day basis. However, the programs and resources give the individual the experience needed when dealing with technology.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The education i am getting is very efficient and they focus on helping each student achieve there goals, but i do feel that my school is expensive. The school hours works very well with my schedule though. I use finanicla aid and loans to help pay for my courses. It gets difficult at times for all the applying for money but i need it to finish school. I am determined and will do whatever i need to do to pay for school.

Career Services: At my school they have it where they will help you do what you need to do to find a job after graduation in your field of study . They also teach you to apply the knowledge you have learned out in the field. I give my school a grade A + for the time they take in helping the students .

Online Courses: I was so scared at first about taking online classes because you have to check in a lot and participate alot online. But the teachers are helpful in helping you figure it about and what you have to do to get all your points . It was a challenge but i have been doin tgood so far with the online courses .

Academic Flexibility: I have had a good experience with UNOP. The counselors have been easy to work with and they let me know if there is a tutorial that can help me or if I need to fill out forms for student loans.

Academic Experience: The class is challenging but what I like about this style of teaching is that I have individual projects and team projects. What makes this work is that the topics for both projects are related and help me to better understand the topic. Also, working with a group you can ask questions of your team mates and get help when things aren't so clear.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Only one class so far so I can only refer to it. The class was good and the instructor knew his subject. The only thing I wish were better were my class team mates.

Campus Resources: The resources they have are so helpful, I had some personal issues going on and they gave me the help I needed to get through the some rough times, not just through classes but they really have helped in so many different ways.

Academic Experience: Most of the teachers have been wonderful to me, most of them do remember me from a pervious class. I only had issues with 2 teachers but it was easily handled with the proper communication. The rest of the teachers have been great at helping and understanding the needs of the students. I think it works both ways with the relationships between students and the teachers.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: They are great when you need help with things. I do enjoy the flexible class times and I even heard they are starting a Saturday class

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe it cost more to take a online course then to go to the campus itself. I find this strange because we should be paying teachers more to be on campus teaching then to pay a teacher to read emails somewhere else. I would rather be on campus and knowing that the teachers are getting the money they need also for the work they put into class time. I think we pay way more then a traditional college, I feel I should pay more to go To OSU and be on campus then to be online without teachers there to guide you through

Online Courses: I enjoy all my classes on campus, But the online course was intimidating, I love to be hands on and close to the instructors so I can get the most out of my education. I love asking questions and the instructors being able to answer them right away instead of waiting for them to read my question and answer them days later. that is the only reason I gave A- to the online courses.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: I feel that my professors are very influential, and they focus on helping us achieve our goals in life. The students and the teachers have good relationships, and are able to sit down and talk about any concerns or complaints and they are handled.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My school is very convenient because it works with my scheldule, of being a fulltime wife, fulltime mother, and fulltime employee. I get the help i need in class and the knowledge i need to succeed . I always manintain a good grade from A to B, and i would say i am a very dedicated student.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am going for my Bachelors in Health Science, The unique aspect of my program is that i am learning new things everyday, with healthcare. It is a major field of study, and comes with new chanllenges of assignments, but determination will get you through anything. So i try my hardest to maintain good grades and stay focused on school.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I love this school because of there friendly staff and the quick response to a student who needs help. However, I dont like the part about ever class having teams I understand that this is done because jobs are looking for people who can work in a team setting but never the less the teams sometimes are very overwhelming.

College Student

Academic Flexibility: Class is only one day a week for four hours--which is great for a working parent. The only hassle was trying to fix my home and work schedule so that I was able to attend class.
