4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Its very convenient, I am able to work full time and still pursue my education.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Its not the best program for software engineering I have found but it is pretty good compared to my previous college.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Class registration is easy unlike at other colleges. Switching classes is just a matter of calling your adviser and asking them to switch you from class.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Online courses allow you to work with other students in a team and encourage us to break the online barrier of not communicating by grading us on participation.

5 College Junior

Facilities: University of Phoenix is great because it allows me to pursue my education online while allowing me to work full time to support me and my family.

Academic Experience: The instructors for the Psych program are great thus far. Workload is a little unrealistic at times. I do not think whomever puts the syllabus together really looks at it. One week there could be 2 papers that are 1750+ words next week a worksheet, or a powerpoint. Work needs to be evenly distributed.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Topics are good they go with my major, the classrooms are small with a large student body. There are plenty of places to study.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The major I am in is only offered on Monday on ground, and online I like going to classes but needs to be offered more than once a week

3 College Senior

Career Services: Have never spoken to anyone about it at the school. I know I want to get my masters and Doctrinal degree. I did not know there was a career center until I saw a commercial on the television.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Equipment needs to be updated like printer/copier, internet is not adequate hard to get service. We are limited to printing services yet are charged for technology services per class approx. $130 per class.

3 College Senior

Student Body: Mostly military or military spouses, average age of student is mid 30's who want to better their lives.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The front desk ladies are professional yet personable

3 College Senior

Facilities: Not a typical university, computer lab has printers and copiers that do not work half the time

4 College Senior

Online Courses: It took awhile to get used to. I like working at my own pace.

3 College Junior

Career Services: With University of Phoenix a student can build a resume, look up jobs, and create a road map for their future job career. It is helpful because you can look up the information you need to get your life started. The problem though is that there are other sites out there that offer that same information.

Online Courses: My personal experience with online classes has been mostly positive. During a read and discuss week ther is one assighnment, and you are required to answer two DQ's. You also must post two posts each day for participation. During a work week there are two assighnments. Some teachers will post a separate post to give possibilities of more participation, and they only knock off at least 5% off of an assighnment for each day it is late. Others are hard balls and will take off 50% if an assighnment is late, and are not that supportive. Each teacher makes up their own rules for the class so that is why not one single class is the same.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Being the school is online student's do not get to go meet teachers for a tutor lesson in their office like at a campus college. There is an online private chat room between student and teacher; which sometimes is a good thing and other times a bad thing. The thing that makes university of phoenix unique is how much the teachers care and the flexibility of the school. It is hard but you can have a job and still do schooling. Also some teachers will let you use their information as a reference.

4 College Junior

Student Body: With University of Phoenix there is a mixture of students. The classes are online so there is no minority group. There are Africans, Caucasians, Spanish people, ...etc. Everyone is accepted for who they are as fellow student's trying to complete their goal. A typical University of Phoenix student is a hard working person; who most likely has a separate home life plus school.

3 College Senior

Career Services: Career services are available but I have not used them so do not have an opinion.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: Most relationships are classroom only - no outside communication and sometimes no on-lin communication when necessary.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Phoenix is not unique any longer and I selected it because of the visability and convenience of my employer working with my schedule to allow me to attend.

2 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: For the price I don't feel as if I am getting the education I need. I understand the format of the 5 week program doesn't allow for extensive, detailed learning but I only hope it is enough.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Several of my classes transferred from years ago, but come of the basics did not. I did not understand why a Business Law class set up for a paralegal program would not count as a basic Business Law class at Phoenix.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: No athletics, ample work space in the computer/research labs and library is all on-line. They offer Career Advancement seminars but I have not taken part.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: Computer lab has sufficient space and computers, but connection in class is difficult sometimes. Also, downloading the ebooks for class is next to impossible for all, not just me because I am technologically slow.
