Computers: Computers are older, but generally in good working order.

4 College Junior

Computers: The main computer lab is going through renovations right now, so sometimes it can be hard to find a free one at the library. However, the library offers laptops to rent. WiFi is typically available almost everywhere on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The WiFi cuts out a lot and can be pretty slow, but it gets the job done.

The University of Oregon has several computer labs open to all students. There are both Macs and PCs available depending on the location. If you choose to depend on the labs, the Knight Library computers are available 24 hours a day, five days a week. Unless it's finals or midterms week, computers in the libraries are pretty easy to come by. All of the computers, printers, and copiers are up to speed and are in great working condition.

In this day and age, having a laptop or some sort of personal computer is extremely useful and almost necessary. Most students will use their own computers and then print documents out in one of the libraries. Having a personal laptop is very convenient because there are more than 30 buildings across campus that offer wireless access, and the numbers are growing. All dormitories come primed with Ethernet connections, too, allowing students easy access 24 hours a day.
