Campus Dining: Anything you could possibly want, whenever you want it.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The dining halls offers lots of differant cuisines, with a differant menu every night. Still, after eating at the dining hall every day, it can get a little dull. There's also a handful of fast food, small cafés, and Legends (sports bar/nightclub).

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The dining halls are overall good, but after a while, you might get bored of the food. I can't complain too much because they do have a lot of options. As far as other options, I would say most of the food is good. I particularly like Greenfields. It has great fresh lunch food during the week!

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The dining alls have weird hours during the day, and most of the other places available to buy food from are fast food places.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The dining halls have good and bad days. They are especially good on game days, which can be expected because there are so many people on campus. Au Bon Pain is the best alternative to when the dining hall has a less than desirable menu.

In a darkened corner of Notre Dame's dining halls lurks a small section filled with the odor of mystery ground meat, fake taco shells, melted cheese, shredded lettuce and tomatoes-the Mexican food section. It seems that not even this shadowy area of campus dining is lacking in student praise. Notre Dame students are very fond of their dining halls, particularly South, because of the variety of foods that they are able to find. Mexican, Chinese, Italian, and American food are just some of the choices available. And, while some students grow tired of the food selections in the dining halls, they find the small on-campus chain restaurants an equally appetizing "Plan B."

Although you may be able to predict the week's main food choices after a while, the contrasting food sections found in both North and South Dining Halls grant students the freedom of exploring their culinary creativity. Combined with the generous meal plans, which range from 14 to 21 meals per week, meal points can be used at campus restaurants, in vending machines, and for "Grab-N-Go" sack meals. The variety of food at the dining halls gives Notre Dame a grade that most cafeteria lunch-ladies can only dream about.
