3 College Junior

Athletics: The sports teams are all pretty good for our conference. attendance is decent and for big volleyball, basketball, and football games attendance is awesome. The faculties are up and coming as the school has already begun a multi-million dollar project building all new outdoor athletic facilities that will be opening fall of 2014.

Local Atmosphere: Roseville is only about 10 minutes from either Minneapolis or st. Paul and both cities have a lot to offer

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is only available to students 21 and over.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are a large variety of places within five minutes, including restaurants and fast food chains.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Policies are strict in order to represent the views and ideals of Northwestern.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The dining system requires that students pay a fixed amount for based on their class standing. This can be a hassle as you may not need all of it. You can sell excess dining funds in increments of $100 to other students, or pay to add more money, but it isn't the most desirable system.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It is an expensive school, so unless you come in with some savings, you will need to pursue private loans.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: There really is no Greek life on the campus, or it just isn't advertised an I don't know about it.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The housing system creates opportunities to connect with other people on campus. This done through hall events and events with brother/sister halls. While it may not be for everyone, there are opportunities available.

College Junior

Guys & Girls: What difference does this make?

College Junior

Scholarships: As stated in the previous question, I did not apply for financial aid. Therefore there was no "process."

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics at Northwestern are amazing. It is a difficult workload and curriculum, but worth it.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: A little outdated, but available.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: We're near enough to downtown in which case it never gets boring.

College Sophomore

Athletics: I, along with most students, do not follow athletics because no one has school spirit.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: The cost of a permit is very expensive without the guarantee of a spot.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a lot of diversity and cultural learning experiences

4 College Sophomore

Weather: We have weather extremes. During the spring, summer, and fall the campus is absolutely beautiful and enjoyable. In the winter is miserable no matter where you are in Minnesota.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: It is like we are being babysat. Unreasonable policies to try and help uphold the Christian environment, but tend to harm it.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I will not live on campus again. The social life is not accepting and bland. It is a great school academically, but the community could be better.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: Northwestern has amazing professors who are experienced professionals in their field. The workload is heavier and more advanced, but professors are easily accessible and caring to help students.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I plan on having an internship. I am studying business, but regardless of major, real life experience is going to teach you just as much or possibly more than the classroom. My internship concern is due to my desired career path. I would like to run my own small business. It is difficult to find an internship that utilizes similar business aspects.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: There is no Greek life at University of Northwestern- Saint Paul... unless they're holding out on me.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: There isn't a lot of diversity at this school, but the majority of the students are very accepting.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: The buses on campus are fine and everything is close enough to walk to anyways, but the parking situation here is AWFUL.

As a whole, Northwestern is loved by its students. The faculty, programs, students, staff, community, and environment create an atmosphere of love, comfort, and respect. A high level of satisfaction exists because most students chose the College for the high level of Christian education that Northwestern offers.

Northwestern is a place where professors and faculty do not shut down when they go home at night. Professors make themselves available to help and support students all the time, many of them even giving out their home numbers to students in case they should ever need to talk. Nearly all students that attend Northwestern have a deep passion for their faith and are on fire for the Lord. Students and faculty have such welcoming and sincere personalities, which makes it easy to get to know people. Friendships created at NWC are something cherished by everyone. There's not a place on campus where you won't receive a smile or salutation. The light created by the Lord is apparent on this campus and in its students.
