Local Atmosphere: Greeley is a big city but doesn't really have much to offer. The mall is fairly small and there are no professional sports team that play near Greeley. The nearest sports venue is Denver.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: University of Northern Colorado is a great school. The campus is beautiful and everything is fairly close to one another.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: The nightlife in Greeley is ok. Greeley isn't really catered to college students but it is getting there.

Off-Campus Housing: I thought it was pretty difficult to find off campus housing that was affordable, safe, and of good quality.

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of cheap places/fast food but needs more variety and better student discounts at the more expensive places.

Academics: The academics at UNC are great. I was very satisfied with the education I received here. As a psychology major, I enjoyed nearly every class I took. I only had a couple professors I didn't like. Class work was extremely manageable.

Drug Safety: Drug and alcohol use is pretty well monitored on campus especially in the dorms. Pot use has increased a lot especially since legalization.

4 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: The campus really promotes diversity but is very liberal as far as political beliefs, religion, and sexual orientation go.

4 Recent Alumnus

Weather: Weather in Greeley is typically very pleasant. Plenty of sunshine. There's a few days in the winter where the snow/wind/ice makes walking on campus undesirable but it's not common.

3 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: I don't know much about athletics at UNC which may say something about their prevalence on the campus. Hardly anyone attends football games. The gym is nice.

Parking: Permits are really expensive and ticketing is very common. The campus isn't very big so having a car on campus isn't a necessity. Finding a parking spot is usually fairly easy if you have a parking pass.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: UNC has a very strict policy about alcohol use in the dorms. Everyone who has a car on campus is very aware of how strict the parking policies are. If you don't have a parking pass, you can expect to have a ticket when you get back to your car even if you're only parked for about 10 minutes.

2 Recent Alumnus

Transportation: The on campus bus can be pretty convenient but transportation and night and downtown especially on weekends is either expensive for taxis or unreliable. UNC really needs some form of transportation for areas around campus on weekends.
