3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Coming from a relatively poor family, I received the financial aid I needed - mostly grants and loans that I will pay back. However, the lack of scholarships really puts a strain on paying for other necessities - parking pass, books, etc.

2 College Freshman

Parking: The parking prices are REDICULOUS! I know of so many schools that are 50 percent or more cheaper than ours. Also, the price for visitors to park - 1$ per half hour - adds up super quick and is really inconvenient and not in line with the current economy. Ticketing and fines are often for miniscule things that aren't even an issue.

Diversity: UNCC is an extremely accepting and diverse campus. Here, most people will not judge you if you are different from them, they will be very accepting. The hardest challenge to diversity here, I feel, is economic status and religion.

College Freshman

Drug Safety: Again, I do not partake in these activities nor do I hang out with people who do, so I cannot accurately and fairly comment

College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I am not a partier, a smoker, a drinker, nor do I hang out with such people so I cannot fairly comment on the strictness on these things because I have not witnessed them or been affected by them.

Facilities: Most all of the buildings are either remodeled or are in the process of being remodeled which adds to the charm of UNCC. All of the academic programs that I have contact with are flexible with students and allow for many opportunities. With such a large commuter population, the weekends can sometimes get boring, but overall there are many events you can attend. The social scene and school spirit here is great.

3 College Freshman

Computers: There are few computer labs and the printing is rather expensive and there is a very small ratio of printers to students. However, the technical support is 24/7 and the speed and reliability are great.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Takes forever to get an appointment. Meds are expensive too.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Campus is very diverse except when it comes to money. I am not a wealthy student but I sure feel like a minority.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I loved my room in Witherspoon. I just learned a roommate is not for me.

1 College Freshman

Parking: PARKING THE WORST. Prices are stupid high along with the fines. Never enough parking spaces.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I live on campus so I can't provide much info. I just receive the news letters.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I just recently changed my major but things are looking hopeful.

5 College Freshman

Majors: You just take an assessment of the basic rules, which the department gives you, and you have 3 times to score a score of %80.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: It's ok, if you plan on walking some ways to the bus stop.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I can do literally anything in my room, as long as I use common sense. My boyfriend who goes to UNCP stays the nigh with me during the weekend and everything.

2 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I often feel like I'm over dress with everyone wearing gym shorts all the time.

5 College Freshman

Academics: The work load for any given class isn't difficult. Time management will make or break whether or not you get an A on a paper.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: UNCC has loads of dining options, only thin is all the good places aren't even open on Friday or the weekends and close by 4 during the week!

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I would recommend to always have a copy of your paper, scholarship notice, etc. We are all human and forget things, so it is nice to back yourself up.

College Sophomore

Majors: I haven't had one but would like one!

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I love most of the restaurants around campus!

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: I haven't had a problem, however I drive my own car or walk to classes. although next year there is supposed to be campus shuttles that take us from our apartment complex to the campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I mean its on campus living so you can't expect much but overall i guess it is okay.
