Campus Dining: Depends on Where You Live – The Residence Dining Hall near the high rises isn't all that great, you kind of just get used to it since most of the time you won't feel like walking 10 mins to Crown Commons, where the great food is at. The other restaurants are pretty good: Wendy's, Chick-fil-a...but some have really weird hours, like Bojangles closes at 3pm so you can't have dinner there...

Diversity: Various Races and Religions – Lots of races are present at UNCC - Caucasian, African-American, Hispanic, Japanese, Indian, Hindu, etc. There are also numerous events that relate to the heritage of the students. All students are welcomed and accepted at UNCC.

Overall Experience: UNC Charlotte is a great school. The education is definitely top notch. There is alot of work, but it pays off. I love this school, but I have been in Charlotte all of my life. That is why I'm transferring. I am really going to miss the school though.

Off-Campus Dining: Dining Options – There are tons of restaraunts within three to five minutes from UNC Charlotte. We have everything from fast food to sit down. Some of my favorites are Fridays, Cheddars, and Chilis. The most popular off campus fast food restaraunt is the Cook Out. The lines are long until four aclock in the morning. This is because the best prices. You can literally get 5 meals for three dollars. I usually get a cheese burger, a corn dog, fries, nuggets, and a strawberry cheesecake milkshake. Alot of restaraunt offer student discounts to, about 10 percent off usually. It sounds small, but it helps when you need to keep that extra cash in your pockets.

Guys & Girls: I don't know too many guys on campus yet, but the ones I've met seem to be pretty nice. I haven't seen any really hot guys yet, but maybe I will next semester.

Facilities: They are all nice. The library is 10 floors, the student center has really fun group fitness classes every day. They have very nice athletic facilities too.

4 College Freshman

Computers: I've only used them twice in the library, but they seem to work very well. They are in good condition, reliable, fast, and there is good wireless connection. I haven't experienced the computers during finals week yet.

Off-Campus Dining: Mostly Chain and Fast Food – Their are a lot of places around campus. You will find deals at different restaurants for each day of the week. Uptown Charlotte is about a 20 minute drive from campus. So you have more options. If you are adventurous and like trying new places you will have no problems finding somewhere to eat.

Campus Dining: In my opinion the dinning hall is horrible! I never go their except if I don't have time to stand in a line I go grab a fruit or something to hold me over. We have a few good places on campus to eat (chick fil a, bojangles, ect) but after a while they get old. We do have a lot of places around campus to eat and most places deliver late in the night. To freshman I suggest you get more DB than meals. The food they serve at orientation is NOT what you will have during the year.

Computers: No Complaints – Their is a computer lab open to students in just about all of the buildings. It's very convenient and they have printers in all rooms. The labs do get loud at peak times during the day. So if you need complete silence I would say invest in headphones or go to the library. Most of the old buildings don't have wi-fi in them so it's a little inconvenient if you only want to use your personal laptop.

Diversity: Really Diverse – At UNCC, there is a lot of different Races and Religions. It was quite surprising at the way that all of the different ethnic groups and religions were working together to create a happy and well working environment.

Overall Experience: Will Be Greater With Football – it was a memorable experience for me. i hated the fact that the school doesn't own the city. a lot of Charlotteans support Duke and UNC.

great college experience though

Off-Campus Dining: campus is surrounded by so many restaurants that will make living in the campus area much better

Facilities: Various Campus Activities – there are a lot of extra curricular activities on campus that fit anybody at UNC Charlotte

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The Highrises – By living at the highrises at UNC Charlotte you will have the opportunity to be social. It is affordable compared to the other housing choices, and it is very convenient, because we have a dinning area right around the corner.

5 College Freshman

Academics: Freshman- Biology Major – It hasn't been easy to major in Biology, specially since I am a freshman; the transition from high school to college is tough, because you have to learn how to manage time, and be disciplined. Being a Biology major requires you to spend a lot of time studying and fighting procrastination. We have amazing professors at the university that are more than willing to help, there are lots of resources that will help you be successful in your classes.

Weather: The weather in Charlotte is always nice and comfortable. Even when the weather is on the bad side, its never the worst it could be.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Need More School Spirit – The team performance and athletics in general are A quality, but the turnout is lack luster. Maybe after football comes to UNCC, then things might change for the better because football is the sport to watch and enjoy.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: Noticeably Diverse – There are plenty of different races, and cultures on campus.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: It's ok. Around campus there is your usual fare. Taco Bell, McDonalds, Jack in the Box...not a lot of upscale places to eat unless you venture downtown.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Everything Is New – From the library to the gym, everything is kept in top shape and clean. The library is awesome with it's own cafe and every piece of literature you could imagine. There are tons of computers on campus for you to use that you can easily use to back up all of your files in case your personal computer crashes.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The dining halls on campus are wonderful. They have tons of restaurants and the a la carte menu is varied as well.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Printing on Campus – The library allows students to print FOR FREE, a very nice feature.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors at UNCC are great! They work with you and are very relatable in class.

5 College Freshman

Weather: The Fall is always crisp, the Winter is always mild, and the Spring is always perfect! Usually never a rainy day or bad weather.
