Drug Safety: Smoking and Drinking – The smoking scene very big lot of smoking areas aand people who smoke, lot of drunk people on weekends outside of dorms being loud

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Walking Distance – Plenty of resturants in walking distance we also have a Wendys, chick-fil-a, Mama leone's and more all on campus grounds. The bad this is the prices are little higher the average price, but you save gas!

Health & Safety: Pretty Safe – For me honestly i feel pretty safe things happen and there is always somebody that is willing to try something. I never feel like my life is in danger on this campus. Plenty of emergeny phones around and we have safe ride you can call so you dont have to walk at night.

Campus Dining: Dining Services – The food options here on campus are relatively good. The two cafeterias generally have the same thing each night and then a couple of stations that are typically themed each meal time. Also, there are a lot of other places to eat on campus, which I personally think is really nice if you get tired of the cafeteria food. Another convenient food option we have here is declining balance which we can use not only at just the non-cafeteria food courts but also in our on campus convenient store which has things other than food. Even though we have a lot of options on campus I would much rather cook because personally I don't like eating fast food all the time.

Weather: We always have very nice weather. Not too hot or cold. Barely rains but no snow.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: UNCC has a great greek life with a lot of different ones to choose from so it is easy to fit in. All are friendly people who try to make the campus better.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: I am not a greek life participate; I feel they are viewed as higher up than everyone else on campus. A little over bearing at times

Overall Experience: So Far – So far i have really enjoy my time at uncc. It is a great school with a lot to offer and is heading in a great direction. With the football team being added next year, uncc will be a major college. UNCC is a fast growing school with a lot of opportunities.

Campus Housing: On Campus – Living in the high rises on campus was alright. The rooms were small and the bathroom had too many people per bathroom. But the walk to close was short, you meet a lot of people, and the food was close by.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The on campus food spots have a lot of different foods. They have fast food places along with all you can eat buffets with a meal plan. The food at the buffets is good and the menu is changed everyday. Overall, I enjoy eating on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Great Options! The city has many options if you are willing/able to get there. Around the school, there are quite a few good, reasonably priced restaurants.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: UPTOWN IS A 15 MINUTE DRIVE...WATCH OUT 4 BOOZE IT OR LOSE IT!

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports Are by the Hundreds – We have a lot of sports that are offered and a lot of intramural sports that can be played and team spirit and fan support is always encouraged.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Food+College Kids = Love – When it comes to Charlotte everywhere you look there are places to eat. If you go right down the road or to the big city there is always a place to go that is in your budget.

Guys & Girls: The campus is very diverse. We have people from all over the world and from very different backgrounds. It makes it easy to learn about new cultures everyday. Not many country guys or country girls, which is a hard thing for me to deal with because those people make me feel at home and enjoy what I do.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Personally, I do not live off campus so I cannot give an accurate grade of how that lifestyle is however there are several nice and new apartments to chose from that are on campus or less than five minutes away.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I have enjoyed my time thus far at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I can commend the university on its consistent growth and improvement with its buildings and programs here on campus. UNC Charlotte changing in it's technology programs too which makes it easier for students to make necessary adjustments to their meal plans, living situations, and specific class needs and resources. I would just like to see more changes in the academic area where classes did not fill up as quickly for heavily populated majors such as psychology and education.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Light on Students; Parking Relentless – Parking doesn't take any mercy (but just avoid parking in the wrong places). Bar that, campus is pretty light on things. Several warnings offered; they want you to have fun here. They just don't want you to get hurt. We have a SWAT team, but I haven't seen them. Don't break the rules that matter, and you'll be fine.

Campus Housing: Great, During the Week – Living on-campus is wonderful. Lynch treats freshman handsomely, so get into a learning community. Single dorms, a nice large common area... friends from UNC and State are quite jealous. We've got new residence halls popping up every year or so for the next five years. The only downside is that it can get quiet in dorms like Spruce and Lynch. The high-rises (the bottom of the barrel dorms) are the most social. Witherspoon, however, with honors, internationals, and one floor up-for-grabs is the best of both worlds. It's a commuter school, so don't expect a ton of activity on the weekends, but when we get football (2013), that'll change drastically.

Drug Safety: There is an average drug scene at Charlotte. In order to avoid it you have to stay away from certain groups of people.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Constantly Helping Students – The professors and advisors at UNCC are so helpful. I am a student of the Belk School of Business and I have nothing but positive things to say about the career center advisors and the the student advisors. It is easy to schedule appointments with them even around registration day and they are constantly suggesting ways to help me.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There are many drug dealers around campus but not anything that you wouldn't see at some other college, right?

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Plenty of Asians – As a computer science major, you can imagine that Chinese and Japanese students will arise. As a matter of fact, my Computer Science teacher was Asian.

Campus Dining: Resident Dining Hall – The resident dining hall here is awful. They wouldn't be so bad if they tried, but they cook in such large quantities that the forget why they're even cooking. Not an "F" because they do have occasional good food. The grill is excellent.

Overall Experience: Great Social Life and Several Opportunities – Great friends + reasonable social life = Great Charlotte
