5 College Freshman

Weather: Love North Carolina weather, you get to experience all four seasons.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There are room inspections so it is very unlikely to see drugs on campus.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: The campus is diversely rich, there are people of all different background. I applaud the admissions office for doing a terrific job of creating diversity on campus.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Crimes are everywhere, but I must say the campus police here at University of North Carolina does a great job at keeping the students secure, and taking quick action against any crime committed on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: As an Architecture major I love every bit of what I am doing. I wouldn't change any aspect of the choices I have made up to this point. I have been able to learn a great deal. The job field is also a promising goal on the horizon. I hope to work up to having my own firm and I believe I am being led on the right path to do so.

Majors: UNCC's School of Architecture is amazing. There are positive characters all around that are willing to help you grow. You spend a great deal of time learning from other students as you work in a environment where you get to know one another pretty well. Work load gets to be a bit strenuous at time but professors are aware of stress level and are willing to help you out in terms of due date. The assignments given allow for growth as a designer, a scholar, and as an individual.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The process for submission was made relatively easy. Although it is a competitive program the application process is made easy enough so that you will be able to focus more on the content rather than the process of applying. The Architecture program is filled with people with great attitudes that help you when you have questions with speedy and helpful replies.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: UNC has a great career office that helps to point students in the right direction when it comes to internships and co-ops. I have no complaints about their program as they are excellent. I have not yet participated in an internship but I plan to as it is required for me to obtain my degree. So far I receive emails once or twice a week with great leads associated with finding an internship.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: So far I have not been to a place that has had bad food or baad service. Everyons=e is nice and the food is delicious and it's not that expensive.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Charlotte is awesome and no matter what time it is, there is always something fun to keep you busy. My favorite thing is to go to the NASCAR speed park at the mall!

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I am not a Greek student and don't mind them most of the time. Sometimes they seem a bit loud, but we are in college and everyone wants to have fun, so you learn to tune it out. If you can't you just have to go to the library or something.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The police are nice to you when you treat them with respect. It is sort of strict, but that's why they are there. It is only to keep everyone safe, so I can't complain. They do their job very well.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Sometimes the lab is crowded, but it is a big school. The network is always up and the internet speed is pretty fast, so it makes searching for things and doing research pretty easy.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: People are nice, and very focused but you have to be open and willing to meet new people.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: UNC-Charlotte puts academics first, and their programs are very rewarding.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: It is very difficult but very rewarding. You really have to apply yourself and focus. There is a lot of time required outside of the classroom but its manageable.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: The party scene at Charlotte is not the best. If you have a good group you hang out with you can have a good time, just don't expect any Project X parties. The school does a good job trying to keep you happy with events on campus. If you are over 21 you can go to bars close enough to campus to where you can walk home after a long night.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: The amount someone has to pay is reasonable if there were spaces available. People spend so much time looking for a place to park if they are coming from off campus, that they are usually late to class. The spots available are usually very far away from any of the classes

4 College Junior

Computers: Students have access to computers and wireless if they have a computer pretty much anywhere on campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: UNC Charlotte is pretty strict on the their rules. Which I appreciate because it makes me feel safe and taken care of...and like my money is being well spent.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: We have a variety of places to eat on campus. We have Bojangles, Chick Fila, Salsaritas, and Mama Leon's. We also have a noodle place which also sells sushi. We have our own Starbucks. We also have Einstein Bagels and a smoothie shop called Freshens. We also have 2 traditional cafeterias. Our campus is growing and they are adding so much more in this coming semester.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: The weather is pretty weird. We have hot summers and warm winters. Some days in the winter time, when it is supposed to be cold, it is warm outside like its spring time. If you have bad allergies or you body is sensitive to the weather change then you may be sick a few times.

Campus Strictness: The campus authorities and police are not really strict. However, they do take their job very seriously on ensuring our campus is safe and a well managed learning environment. There are on-campus police and we also have security in each building. They are never a nuisance but are available if there is a need for them.

College Freshman

Majors: The counselors at UNCC give you a list of general ed classes as well as a few specified classes you must take before getting into the major.

5 College Freshman

Majors: UNCC is a great school for accounting and financing and the teachers are awesome. I'm able to get one on one help when I need it. I'm concerned with getting a job just because of the economy nowadays, however, with Charlotte having a big banking industry, I feel like I will be able to find something.
