3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The police are nice to you when you treat them with respect. It is sort of strict, but that's why they are there. It is only to keep everyone safe, so I can't complain. They do their job very well.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Sometimes the lab is crowded, but it is a big school. The network is always up and the internet speed is pretty fast, so it makes searching for things and doing research pretty easy.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: People are nice, and very focused but you have to be open and willing to meet new people.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: UNC-Charlotte puts academics first, and their programs are very rewarding.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: It is very difficult but very rewarding. You really have to apply yourself and focus. There is a lot of time required outside of the classroom but its manageable.

Nightlife: The party scene at Charlotte is not the best. If you have a good group you hang out with you can have a good time, just don't expect any Project X parties. The school does a good job trying to keep you happy with events on campus. If you are over 21 you can go to bars close enough to campus to where you can walk home after a long night.

Parking: The amount someone has to pay is reasonable if there were spaces available. People spend so much time looking for a place to park if they are coming from off campus, that they are usually late to class. The spots available are usually very far away from any of the classes

4 College Junior

Computers: Students have access to computers and wireless if they have a computer pretty much anywhere on campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: UNC Charlotte is pretty strict on the their rules. Which I appreciate because it makes me feel safe and taken care of...and like my money is being well spent.

Campus Dining: We have a variety of places to eat on campus. We have Bojangles, Chick Fila, Salsaritas, and Mama Leon's. We also have a noodle place which also sells sushi. We have our own Starbucks. We also have Einstein Bagels and a smoothie shop called Freshens. We also have 2 traditional cafeterias. Our campus is growing and they are adding so much more in this coming semester.

Weather: The weather is pretty weird. We have hot summers and warm winters. Some days in the winter time, when it is supposed to be cold, it is warm outside like its spring time. If you have bad allergies or you body is sensitive to the weather change then you may be sick a few times.

Campus Strictness: The campus authorities and police are not really strict. However, they do take their job very seriously on ensuring our campus is safe and a well managed learning environment. There are on-campus police and we also have security in each building. They are never a nuisance but are available if there is a need for them.

Majors: The counselors at UNCC give you a list of general ed classes as well as a few specified classes you must take before getting into the major.

5 College Freshman

Majors: UNCC is a great school for accounting and financing and the teachers are awesome. I'm able to get one on one help when I need it. I'm concerned with getting a job just because of the economy nowadays, however, with Charlotte having a big banking industry, I feel like I will be able to find something.

5 College Freshman

Majors: I interned in high school for a law office and a dental office. Both were unpaid internships, however, I believe it's worth it. By doing those internships, I discovered that I did not want to pursue a career in either of those fields when going into them, I thought it was a possibility.

Weather: The local weather is usually pretty mild; although summers can get hot and winters can get pretty cold. The walks on campus are not too bad, especially as the dorms are not too far from the buildings. Classes are rarely cancelled because we rarely get snow; however, the majority of the time it snows, it does get cancelled!

4 College Freshman

Academics: UNC Charlotte is not known for many programs but the Science Department has some amazing professors. One of the physics professors has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and I believe he already has one. Other professors also have top notch nominations as well. The engineering department is reputable to be a very good. Most people in campus are engineering students or pre-med students.

Facilities: There are many places to hang out at UNC Charlotte. There is a moderate amount of things going on during the week but there is little over the weekends. We have just about anything you can need. There is a convenience store and what they don't have you can take the bus to a target or wal-mart. The food on campus is pretty awesome and has a very large variety or you can go across the street for even more choices. The campus has a Niner Vs. Zombie event every fall and is the funnest couple of weeks that I think you can have on campus.

Facilities: I love my school. There is a gorgeous library that has spaces for independent study, group study, a small cafe and more as well as being an easy place to get to. There are many places around campus to sit and study or people watch and the grounds are beautiful. There is not a lot going on campus on the weekends and there is not much school spirit since it is a commuter school. We are getting a football team next august and that is a great opportunity for many things.

3 College Freshman

Academics: The chemistry program gives lots of hard work but the professors are always there if you have a question. After the weed out classes they don't get any easier. If you are dedicated to the program there are many resources to use and there is always someone to help.

5 College Senior

Majors: Belk College of Business is a great resource for learning and growth. As a Finance major, I am exposed to professors who work in the industry I aspire to contribute on a daily basis. I love the diverse course requirements that will prepare me for a variety of finance-based careers.

5 College Senior

Majors: UNCC has the BEST Career Center! The advisors come to junior level classes and present powerpoints on how to improve your resume and plan for a career...the point of college altogether! Then you attend a brief program and once registered, a world of internship, career, and job fair opportunities open up for you throughout your course of study! Awesome. I am a senior planning to attend my second internship through the career center.

Athletics: The athletics department is diverse in it's sports. There are many to choose from. I myself am apart of an intramural sports team that helps me relieve stress. The school spirit is at an all time high right now because the football team will be here in just under a year!

Academics: This school is not well known in America as of yet, but it's academics will bring this school out of the dark. There are many popular study areas being developed as the school hires more professors. The professors all know their material down to the wire. Outside programs help benefit the students' learning and help with any problems. Registration process is always hard because of the amount of students, but talking to the professor can get you admittance into a class without stress.

Academics: I graduated with my B.S in biology. This was one of the hardest but best times of my life. The workload was overwhelming at times, but once i succeeded I felt extremely proud of myself. Staying on top of school work and involved with students and the professor help overcome the hardships. There are S.I. sessions for those that need extra help, the professors are always in their offices willing to help, and there are possibilities to join labs in research.
