5 College Freshman

Diversity: There are people of many different races and religions. You see many different people on campus.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The food is decent. Yeah you get tired of the norms but they often times switch up the menu. Crown Commons is the best place to go so far until they build the new dining hall next year. Oh and the cooks are cute!!! <- something to look forward to every meal lol

4 College Freshman

Computers: Computers are EVERYWHERE! Telling your professor the "I couldn't get to a computer" excuse will not work! There are no excuses as to why you wouldn't have access to a computer, library is open 24/7. But printers on the other hand, aren't so reliable.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: There's always something to do on the weekend. People throw parties even during exam week lol.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is okay but getting to your spot can be crazy with soo many students walking EVERYWHERE! If you live in the freshmen dorms and drive to school, your parking spot is FAR but they're building new ones closer! :)

2 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Not a lot of guy options, sadly. Most of the good looking ones are concided and not worth your time.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There are good places to eat on campus and there are plenty of good options.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: there are a lot of restaurants around campus and easy access to a freeway for the ones that are a bit farther away.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Sometimes they're just out of the way, and often the library just has zero computers available.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: There are a lot of guys, but none that I like much

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Most everyone I know is involved in the athletics or wants to be involved.

3 Recent Alumnus

Majors: I was admitted to UNC-Charlotte fall of 2004 and they had a set schedule of the classes, and the order to take them in. I was under the impression that was it and I would be done in 4 years. Well I struggled in my general biology class, and I really struggled in my inorganic chemistry classes and those were the 4 classes, labs included, to even be admitted into the biology program. You will not be able to speak to an biology advisor if you are not in the program. if you are a pre-biology student, you will have to speak to a science advisor and once admitted, you will be assigned to a biology advisor.

3 Recent Alumnus

Majors: I was in the biology program and it was intense. Especially Human Physiology, Microbiology, Immunology, all the upper level courses were intense and a lot of information to process in one semester. The lower level biology courses along with the chemistries, are broad, but they expect you to learn alot because you need those classes to actually be admitted into the biology program and you must have a C or better.

Majors: As a Biology major and having two part-time jobs through out college, it was extremely stressful. I wasn't blessed to have money growing out of trees. The only thing I would change is, if I didnt have to work as much, I would of been more focused on my courses and not trying to do everything all at once. They give you a set schedule for you to complete in 4 years, but I would just take what you can, and not to rush. You can't finish college in four years, unless you are financially stable and you have the means to be all in. I'm not saying it can not be accomplished, just you will have to be strict. I would choose this school and major all over again. Word of advice, they never tell you what will happen if you didn't get accepted into a speciality program i.e. medical school, dental school, medical technology. They give you the impression, if you take these classes, and maintain above a "C" average, then you get in. They do not stress to you that there are other people competing to get accepted and that the school is very limited in how many can be accepted. Just be prepared to be opened to other programs in other locations.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletics are alright we have a good soccer program but nobody goes to the important games. And the basketball games are not that hyped.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There are a lot of choices and food variety on campus. All of the facilities are kept in great, clean condition. The dining area has a large variety of great and tasty foods. There are also fast food places like Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, different hot dog stands, and different nationality-based foods.

4 College Freshman

Parking: The pricing is somewhat reasonable for a school this large of a size. It costs roughly $430 for the entire year. Having morning classes is the best way to get a great parking space, closest to the buildings. After 11 am it gets a little hectic. Unless you commute to school, you don't really need a car on campus. The fines there are crucial. If, for example, your car broke down and you had to use another car to get to school, they WILL fine you $60 because the parking pass number did not match the car that it was on.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The work that the fans put into promoting sports here is AMAZING. There are so many people that are very active about the events that are going on. The Intramural sports are very popular at UNCC.

3 College Freshman

Academics: I am a Biology major, but I am switching over to Psychology. The Biology department is helpful to an extent, but it's a lot of unanswered questions. Talking to Psych majors, I have found out that the Psychology department is very helpful and guides you step by step if needed.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: If you live on campus, and are caught drinking underage or with alcohol in your room, you will get a campus ticket and possibly a legal ticket depending on what the campus police decide. You also run the risk of losing your housing for a year.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Some of the bathrooms reek of urine but other than that the upkeep is wonderful.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: I was born and raised in Charlotte and I love it here! There is such a range of activities and lifestyles.

4 College Junior

Computers: There are always computers available but they take forever to load and get to a point that you can use them.

4 College Junior

Transportation: I have not personally used it, but I have heard good things from my peers.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: transportation is good on campus. there is a bus you can call at any time to pick you up and bring you wherever you need to go on campus. its very helpful if you have to go somewhere by yourself at night.
