Parking: Parking cost far more than books at the university and many struggle to even find a place to park even if they do get the permit.

5 College Senior

Greek Life: Our geek life is very impressive and many individual like to keep updates on the event that go on.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: The campus does not security cameras outside the buildings however everything can be seen by the campus lights.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: At UNCC we have a very diverse population. In any given class you will see a mixture of both genders, ethnicities, races, social groups and more. We have city boys & girls, country, redneck, prep, average, international, greek, and anything else you can think of.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Like anywhere you go, there is going to be crime. We have an amazing team of officers that patrol campus, they are always very alert and helpful. There tends to be random robberies around campus and they always have the same suspect description. There also tends to be car break ins every now and then but overall the campus crime rate seems to be pretty low and well taken care of. We also have great technology around campus to help fight against crime.

Campus Dining: The on campus dining hall is pretty nice, its new and they are in the process of building a new freshman dining hall. It has a good variety of options (its buffet style). The aren't that many options to choose from for on campus dining (you get kind of tired of the same things over and over) but for the most part it is okay.

Local Atmosphere: UNCC is located in an amazing city. Not only is it amazing, it is diverse! Drive 10 minutes in either direction and get totally different scenes (urban uptown shopping and living, rural countryside, a mixture of both) it is amazing! Shopping is amazing around UNCC (huge malls and boutiques) Northlake mall, Concord Mills, South Park mall. Around Charlotte people seem to be very accepting of college students and the college life. Charlotte is an amazing and diverse place to live!

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The guys at UNC Charlotte are alright, there's a lot of "smarties" around due to the fact that this school is well known for Engineering. However there is a good diversity of girls on campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: The food on campus is pretty good. We have a lot of different options, including popular restaurants such as Wendy's, Bojangles, and Chick Fil A. Since we have so many restaurants on campus, a meal plan is always a good idea, even if you don't live on campus.

4 College Junior

Weather: Weather is good in Charlotte; hardly ever snows, and rains an average amount. It does get very hot in the fall and spring however, which makes the walk to class from dorms further away from main campus a drag.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I received a good amount of aid, and the communication with the financial aid department was fast and very helpful. They clearly stated what I needed to turn in, in order for my application to go through. I was very satisfied with the speed and effectiveness of this process.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Public transportation is okay. UNC Charlotte is a commuter school, so I feel their transportation system would be used more often if they had more stops/advertised more.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: There quite a few options, but the parking at UNCC is ridiculously high.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I don't really pay attention to the athletics, but we have a solid basketball team . UNCC will also debut their football team this upcoming fall.

College Freshman

Nightlife: As a freshman who is under 18 the nightlife at UNCC is non existent. Most of the parties are off campus. While there are house parties galore if you know where to go regular parties are definitely 18+. College ID means nothing if you're not over eighteen.

Scholarships: I love UNCC but financial aid at this school is a battle. It seems like every year there is a problem with financial aid but they do have people there that are willing to help you out.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I live on campus and have not really looked into off-campus housing.

4 College Freshman

Computers: UNCC has TONS of computers. Alot of people have their own laptops and the Wifi in the library, etc is very good. The printing system is excellent. There is no hassle or confusion with it. Very good idea. Overall, extremely happy with the computers, printers, wifi, everything.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There's a lot of options but you need a designated driver to get to anywhere for cheap

Academics: The Academics at UNCC are very good, I am a social work major and I absolutely love the classes I am taking and the groups of people I get to work with.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: There are many options for transportation at UNCC between the CATS buses and Safe Ride but you have to catch the CATS bus at the right time or you will have to wait almost 45 minutes for another one! You also must call safe ride in order to be picked up by them.

4 College Freshman

Majors: Must have a 2.0 GPA til graduation. Take prechem class.

College Freshman

Majors: Technically i havent interned yet, but im supposed to volunteer at hospice hopefully it will be fun. :)

4 College Freshman

Majors: I think the chem teachers overall are nice if you get to know them. I wish they had a P.A. program too. :( They let alot of their previous students work as assistants in lab, so theres always that. I wish the tests werent so hard.

3 College Freshman

Majors: Im at UNCC and some of the people are friendly, but the classes are so big you cant ask questions unless you go to their offices during their hours and its usually when you have another class. Chem lab is pretty hard, but its fun if you know what youre doing. The english classes let you be creative, but they dont teach you anything like grammar.
