Campus Dining: There are many options for dining on campus. The food its pretty tasty although it does get old sometimes. My only complaint is how pricy the meal plans are. They can even get more expensive than tuition itself. Are we paying for food or an education?

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Restaurants are close by and there is a good variety. The dining options are a wind range- everything from fast food, to affordable sit-down, and even some that college students cant afford.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking decals are expensive, but worth it. Parking is always available if you know where to look. Also, don't be afraid to strap on some walking shoes- you might not get front row parking, but they do have plenty of parking for everyone.

Campus Dining: UNCC offers a variety of places to eat and dine on campus. Not do they provide places for students to go with meal plans, but also for those that don't have meal plans. UNCC offers a variety of chain restaurants on campus as well; such as Windy's, Chick-fil-a, BoJangles, as well as others to chose from.

Greek Life: I've seen many fraternities and sororities all over my campus; they generally have events on campus that are fun (with free food). I see many females walking around with their Greek life bags and the males with their shirts on. Even though I'm not associated with Greek life, the scene on my campus is nothing short of huge.

Campus Housing: Just like in every other place in the world, the motto is: "You get what you pay for". If you want to have less space, but want to mingle with more people in the dormitories, I would suggest applying for the high-rises (I did it my freshman year). If you want to live in the newer dorms (with many amenities), you'll have to pay top-dollar. If you want somewhere in the middle, there are plenty of housing options that may fit you such as apartment-style, Greek, single rooms, and double rooms.

Campus Dining: I really like the variety of options available at the Crown Commons. The only thing I wish, however, is that it was open past 8:30 PM (which I believe is too early). Other than that, there's a variety of food to choose from normally, but they always have a salad bar or a sandwich line that is open.

Local Atmosphere: Charlotte is a huge city with many night life activity. I will say however that charlotte is more of a city for older aged individuals rather than young students.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The drug scene at the UNCC is dependent on who the particular person surround themselves around. If the people you hang with do drugs more than likely you take them as well or will be taking them sooner or later. If students are caught going against the policies on campus regarding alcohol or drugs then they will have to suffer the consequences which is either being suspended or expelled from the university. I believe that is a far treatment because these individuals are harming their own lives and should be treated fairly if they go against the law.

Parking: I have no car on campus this past year, but from what I've heard, it can get nasty. Parking tickets are ridiculous though. So that in an of itself is disappointing.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I've had no issues walking at night, or around campus, but then again I am not a stupid night walker. Things are fine. Thanks for doin your thang, health and safety. :)

Local Atmosphere: Charlotte is the largest city in NC. There are many attractions, shopping malls, fine dining, amusement parks, lots of jobs to apply too, many parks and gardens, museums, a fantastic night life, Panthers and Bobcats stadium. Anything you could want to do Charlotte has it.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: A select people to partake in drug use, but people do not treat you differently if you decide not too. No one really peer pressures you, and it all comes down to who you make friends with.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I feels like it is so hard to find financial aid if your parents make over $50,000. But that does not matter to me, all my loans are on MY name, not my parents, so I think I should have the same opportunity to get financial help as everyone else.

5 College Senior

Academics: The oppurtunities at UNCC are amazing. There is just so many programs available for students. I'm currently interning this summer. There are so many programs but you have to look. You can not expect these opportunties to fall into your lap. You must be a dedicated student, work hard at mataining grades and attending classes. Basically be responsible. As far as the work load, your counselor will not give you more than you can handle. Your counselor is a member of the the department you are majoring and they know the workload of all the courses. The facilities have excellent materials. Professors are willing to be there if you need them for the most part. I give this an A+++.

Parking: The parking is super expensive. I myself will be purchasing a yearly pass and it costs 600 dollars! The campus is so large and there are only a couple parking decks. I don't mind the walk though. Sometimes its hard to find an empty space but that rarely ever happens. I'm more concerned with trying to find a way to cut costs. After all, I am a struggling college student.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: I feel that the college is overall safe. There are always teachers or authority walking around. The only thing that concerns me is there are these walkways and paths were there are no emerency lights. I'm afraid that one day I might get mugged or something else. I usually do not feel unsafe for the most part. There is a ton of campus security and I'm sure that nothing bad would ever happen to me. I generally concerned for something that might happen not just myself but other people. I hate to see anyone in danger.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drugs and alcohol are not a noticeable part of campus life. People do drink and smoke and all but there isn"t any pressure

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Sororities and Fraternities at UNCC are very active on campus. They take part in a lot of activities and organize stuff too. Most of them are highly respected

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Charlotte is definitely a place to be if you want to get into fun nightlife and meeting new people in the area. Charlotte is a melting pot and is culturally diverse. It is a place for the young, wild and free.

4 College Junior

Academics: Their academics are a bit challenging so I would recommend tutoring if possible. By any means necessary, get the help you need to keep your grades looking good and your GPA strong.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid I received was sufficient for the first couple of month's rent but when I lived on-campus it did not cover any expenses.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking on UNCC is ridiculous, trying to find a parking space is insane. You have to pay alot for a parking pass just to be told that their are limited parking, or you have to walk a good distance.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The dorms at UNCC are pretty nice. I would recommend to anyone.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: The greek housing and sorority makes the fun of UNCC.
