College Student

Athletics: I just started this school this semester. So I really can't comment on sports.

4 College Student

Diversity: Everyone accepts you for who you are no one judges and if they do you hardly ever find out about it most people keep to themselves.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: It could be better in my book. I tend to like the dining halls on campus though.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I applied for financial aid my first semester of my freshman year of college and did not receive any. It was frusterating because I live in a household of 6 people and my stepdad is out of work. I now have to make payments and pay for school out of my own pocket. I did not apply this year because I did not think I would receive any help.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: I think athletics are very important at this university. Also, I think it is important to support the athletics field and the athletes who participate. School spirit is a big thing here and I think the fans help support the athletes. I think it's great that students have school spirit and enjoy attending sporting events.

College Sophomore

Transportation: Personally, I have never used the public transportation UNCC offerrs but from what I hear, it is okay. There are many bus stops throughout campus but I cannot speak for city buses and taxis. From what I see, I think UNCC provides good compus transporation and I am grateful that we have this service.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking at UNCC is always an inconvenience. If you get there after 9:30 good luck at finding ANY available parking spots. If I am paying roughly $400 for a parking permit, I believe there should be more accessible parking.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: You see them on campus talking to people and holding events. They seem very nice.

Computers: There are many labs to choose from depending on where you are on campus. If you can't find a computer they let you rent them out.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: They hold tons of events and even has a theater that play current movies. the library is great place to spend time even when not studying.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: They have a great student center and a very pretty campus. the gym and group fitness programs are amazing.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: I live at home so wouldn't know what the housing is like.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I haven't seen any drugs on campus which means they are doing a great job watching out for them.

4 College Freshman

Weather: The paths are usually cleared and made safe if it ices so its safe to walk around campus.

College Freshman

Nightlife: I don't go out around the campus because i usually stay home.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I live at home but the housing around campus looks average.

College Freshman

Majors: I haven't had one yet but plan to in my senior year. I am looking forward to it because i have only heard great things about them.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The teachers are willing to help you with permits if the class is full and you need it and talk to you about what classes you can wait to take if they are full.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I like how strict they are on cheating because if i have to work hard for my degree everyone should.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The only problem i has been right when i transferred in from my community college and ended up behind, but have gotten back on track. The school is great and the professors very knowledgeable.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: I commute and need to have a car. Parking permits can get expensive.

5 College Freshman

Academics: All the teachers i have came across in the kinesiology department are so helpful and pleasant.

4 College Freshman

Academics: The students can choose what work load works for them. Registration is easy with the help of the professors because they want to help you gain your degree.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I don't feel threatened but i still look around while walking around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The only tips I could give would be to make sure you fill the fasfa form out as soon as you possible when it becomes available in the beginning of the year. Just make sure to make all the deadlines and fill everything out correctly and it should all turn out fine.
