Diversity: UNCC has plenty of diversity. There are many, many different ethnicities and students of different background all blended into campus. Our exchange program is impressive. And the school loves to accept a mix of people. It is not predominantly "white" or "black" or female/male campus, it's a genuine even ratio of all of the above and more.

Academics: Studying Communications at Charlotte is great! The college of Liberal Arts Studies is very well organized, staffed, and prepared to teach and enrich every student studying through this program. Charlotte offers five different fields for Communication Studies; Mass Media, Organizational, Health, PR, and Public Advocacy. It is so broad and detailed to every possible career path for any communication student. Along with a multitude of minors. I've been pleased with the guidance and classes I've taken thus far. The classes are interesting and informative. I'm truly learning the roots of communication and ways to better and strengthen my communication personally and professionally. I am also learning the huge role it takes in the world force. Communications is an underestimated major. I've been discouraged by outsiders with them saying "Communications is such a broad major. You'll never land a job." or "You have to go to school to learn how to talk." I don't take it personally, there are just very narrow minded about the power of Communications and the daily, prominent presence it has in the jobs of today. On another note, the facilities for Communications students are nice. Wouldn't hurt for a little renovation but never short of a building or staff for classes. The Communication career counselors also do a great job of informing the students of internship opportunities and jobs. My email is practically bombarded with new openings every week. I've even applied for some!

UNC Charlotte is very well equipped for any inquiring Communication majors. It has met all my academic wants and needs.

Majors: I love the nursing program here and there are a lot of different majors to choose from. I'm not concerned about finding a job as a nurse because there is always a need. I would love to be a NICU night nurse.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: If you come into the Nursing program as a freshman, it makes it much easier than trying to switch your major after coming into the school as a different major. You have to be accepted into the program with a GPA higher than a 3.2 and you can't make Cs
