4 College Freshman

Academics: The students can choose what work load works for them. Registration is easy with the help of the professors because they want to help you gain your degree.

Health & Safety: I don't feel threatened but i still look around while walking around campus.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The only tips I could give would be to make sure you fill the fasfa form out as soon as you possible when it becomes available in the beginning of the year. Just make sure to make all the deadlines and fill everything out correctly and it should all turn out fine.

Campus Housing: I really wouldn't suggest living on campus if you decide to enroll in UNC Charlotte. Their freshman dorms look like prisons and it is more expensive with all the expenses to live on campus than in an apartment right across campus.

Campus Strictness: The school isn't really too strict on too many things. They are very strict when it comes to plagiarism and cheating. Also very strict when it comes to grades and not changing them, teachers usually stand firm and no extra credit is usually given.

Facilities: My school just got a football team this year for the first time in it's history! So the football athletic games were very exciting and all the sporting games are free to students. I absolutely love the library, it is very open and I love the way they designed it! It's the perfect atmosphere for studying and I'm always there when I need to study. The campus is beautiful, it is in a hilly area right next to the growing city of Charlotte. You get the best of both worlds, so I have no idea why anyone wouldn't want to go to UNC Charlotte.

Facilities: I feel my school, UNC Charlotte, is much better than other schools because their academic are more serious. The teachers actually care about the students and despite the sizes of the classes that the school offers most of the teachers try their best to accommodate every single student. The reason I point this out is because I have friends who go to other schools and they are always complaining about their teachers and half of them even go to smaller schools! Our school also offers SI sessions for a lot of courses which is like a study session for students enrolled in the coarse to help them with things they are struggling on in class that the teacher doesn't have time to go over more in depth.

Drug Safety: It's the same as any other campus- they are there but it's up to you if you want to partake. No one is stupid enough to bring them out during the day in plain sight; night time is different, but you'd have to put yourself in that situation.

Off-Campus Housing: There's off campus housing in walking distance- people should be ecstatic about that.

Scholarships: I wasn't awarded any financial aid as I entered Grad school so I have to pay out of pocket for everything. I was told that I have taken too much out at this point and haven't paid enough back, even though I've been making payments to my college loans for about four years now (the money is all going to paying interest off, however). The whole institution is ridiculous- we are told we need these degrees to get a good job, but we can't afford to pay for schooling because we can't find a good job. It's a vicious cycle and more financial aid scholarships and grants should be offered no matter what race, age, living situation, parent income is- none of that effects me, but I'm being penalized for it.

Academics: The courses are extremely relevant to the field I'm entering, but I just started the program so I can't answer this question fully just yet.

Academics: The campus seems extremely diverse in study areas and curriculum. I haven't met many professors yet but I have tried to contact them via email to discuss their courses and they all responded, which I thought was very helpful.

Nightlife: I love our nightlife. Everything seems to be within a 15 minute drive and there's something for everyone. If you like the clubs, you can go uptown to the epicenter or music factory. If you like the artsy spots, you can visit Noda or Plaza Midwood. You can find a small hole in the wall bar just about anywhere if you're looking to just play some pool and hangout without all the noise, and you can even go to Studio Movie Grill and watch a movie WHILE drinking- it's a pretty amazing area.

Overall Experience: UNCC is a real artsy place just like I like lots of clubs and shows to go to as well as games and tons of entertainments and events to attend.

Majors: UNCC has numerous of majors to choose from and the facility also helps guide you to find the one that is best for you.

Majors: The work is not that hard if you not interested in it if not it would be hard but you will actually learn form these classes as well as getting real work experience from it.

Drug Safety: Not everyone take part in it but its not that bad just what they choose to do with their life.

Scholarships: I received 1 merit-based scholarship so far, during my time here. It has been extremely helpful, and I plan to apply again this year.

Diversity: I haven't had any trouble with intolerance, and have been able to make a group of very diverse friends without trouble. Diverse groups are common, but it it also common to see people in what I call "clone groups" where everyone in said group looks and dresses the same way.

Guys & Girls: First of all, it is completely unfair that only the girls are rated in this survey. What if I like guys and want to rate them?
Secondly, people like different things. People are people. People will find people to date anywhere and everywhere. A survey can't tell anyone if they will be able to find someone at one school over another. Ridiculous.

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of places near campus to choose from, and if you choose to venture into the city. there are literally hundreds of restaurants to choose from.
Many of the places near campus open late. Some even deliver to the dorms (pizza, subs, Chinese food).
