Diversity: There is a decent amount of diversity as a whole, but each major department looks very homogeneous. Most have all the same race/religion. Economic status is not stated, but considering most instate people commute to save money rather than live on the dorm and tuition is the cheapest out of all the UNC System schools, people are probably in the lower middle class and down. There are few, if any, out of state students because out of state is absurd and those who are from out of state must be rich considering it would be 40K per year for them, when instate is 6500ish (no dorm) or 16000ish (with dorm).

Local Atmosphere: Charlotte itself is a very vibrant city with lots to do, but the public transportation is the worst. You have to drive in order to get to a bus stop, which defeats the purpose of getting public transportation. The school has one shuttle that takes 2 hours to drive around the campus for the students to ride on, but it returns to the city at 4:30 and most classes end between 4:45-9:00PM. The primary reason people live on campus is because they do not have a car rather than a genuine desire to live there. UNCC is the "commuter" university, essentially a community college where you can earn a bachelors degree. Parking is ridiculous too with 500 dollar parking passes. The locals are reasonably nice to students.

Drug Safety: There are no drugs visible on campus. People have chosen to do things other than get high at UNCC. Alcohol usage is at an acceptable level. Not too many under age drinkers. Alcohol is not visible on campus other than the actual dorms. Most people choose to go to clubs/restaurants/bars to drink. I am not sure about the policy enforcement because the rules are not broken enough to be noticeable.

Local Atmosphere: Traffic around here, because we are I'm Charlotte, van be frustrating when trying to make travel plans.

Scholarships: There are not that many scholarships that I can apply for.

Transportation: Cost for having a car on campus is ridiculously high.

Greek Life: Once rush week starts, it seems like Greek takes over campus students

Campus Strictness: I think that there is room for improvement, but its not that bad.

Computers: I enjoy the perks of the computers....

Drug Safety: From my standpoint no one here "from the people I have met" are big on drugs.

Weather: Right now we are in the dead of winter so it is freaking cold. I'm sure that when it warms up though it will be great.

Athletics: I just started this school this semester. So I really can't comment on sports.

4 College Student

Diversity: Everyone accepts you for who you are no one judges and if they do you hardly ever find out about it most people keep to themselves.

Off-Campus Dining: It could be better in my book. I tend to like the dining halls on campus though.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I applied for financial aid my first semester of my freshman year of college and did not receive any. It was frusterating because I live in a household of 6 people and my stepdad is out of work. I now have to make payments and pay for school out of my own pocket. I did not apply this year because I did not think I would receive any help.

Athletics: I think athletics are very important at this university. Also, I think it is important to support the athletics field and the athletes who participate. School spirit is a big thing here and I think the fans help support the athletes. I think it's great that students have school spirit and enjoy attending sporting events.

College Sophomore

Transportation: Personally, I have never used the public transportation UNCC offerrs but from what I hear, it is okay. There are many bus stops throughout campus but I cannot speak for city buses and taxis. From what I see, I think UNCC provides good compus transporation and I am grateful that we have this service.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: Parking at UNCC is always an inconvenience. If you get there after 9:30 good luck at finding ANY available parking spots. If I am paying roughly $400 for a parking permit, I believe there should be more accessible parking.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: You see them on campus talking to people and holding events. They seem very nice.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: They have a great student center and a very pretty campus. the gym and group fitness programs are amazing.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: They hold tons of events and even has a theater that play current movies. the library is great place to spend time even when not studying.
