3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: They follow the rules but they are lenient on the ones that won't do much harm to anyone.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Besides the rain, anytime we have snow, sunny days, fall leaves, the campus looks beautiful.

1 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I like making designs with the radio buttons :D

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I like money. It gets me classes.

College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Its too good to rate with five little bubbles.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Line-dancing. Srsly I thought there wasnt' an essay part to this survey!

2 College Sophomore

Majors: Dude its so fun learning.

4 College Senior

Nightlife: There are many different options for night-life; clubs, parties, lounges, and bars. Most clubs that have college night offer party bus transportation, to and from the destination, which I beliee is a great option because it reduces the chance of drunk driving. College nights are usually for ages 18 and up. We also have really fun bar crawls, where we travel in groups to different bars and clubs.

Off-Campus Dining: There a wide variety of dining options off-campus! There are popular fast food chains as well as a few "mom and pop" resturaunts. The pricing is decent in our area, and gets a little more pricey the closer you get to the center-city area. A lot of the resturaunts, and even local business, offer student discounts and great sales! A few of my favorite places include Cabo Fish Taco, Midnight Diner, Zapatas, TGI Fridays, Cheddars, Cookout, McDonalds, and Bojangle's

Facilities: Campus life is great! There are so many activities offered on campus, and most are free! We have a movie theater and a hair salon on campus, and they both have wonderful staff! Our campus is also very diverse. We have a high transfer-in rate, as well as a high rate of international students, so we are able to meet people from various age, gender, orientation, and ethical backgrounds.

Parking: The prices are really expensive for parking passes, and it doesn't even guarentee you a parking space! I like the free parking on weekends, but I am hardly ever on campus then. Having a car on campus is not a necessity, however, it does make getting to class easier, because the shuttles are hardly on time.

Health & Safety: I never really feel unsafe here, but you do have to be observant since you're in a big city.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life isn't huge here, but it's still visible.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: There are scholarships available, but they are for a very specific type of student (not the upper middle class white female).

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: The frats throw parties, but they do get busted. There are a lot of bars close by that people go to, mainly freshmen though.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Football is growing..soccer is pretty popular, as is baseball. But sports are definitely not as big a deal here as they are at other large state schools.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love living on campus because it's great to be around fellow students. The high rises are nasty (hey cockroaches) but you can't beat how easy it is to meet people.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: RDH is not very good, Crown is worth the walk. Crown is decent..you'll quickly learn what will tear your stomach apart and what won't.

Weather: Charlotte has pretty mild weather, but of course there are some cold winter days and some HOT summer days. If you're from the south, it's no big deal, but if you're from the north, the heat may be a bit of a shock.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: There are buses that run constantly and have multiple pick up/drop off locations. SafeRide is also an option at night.

3 College Freshman

Parking: There is plenty of parking if people are willing to walk! There is ALWAYS a spot in the South Deck Parking Garage. Obviously if you try to park close to academic buildings, you'll have issues. There are usually plenty of spots available behind Fretwell though.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I feel like there way more attractive girls than there are guys here. There are definitely more guys here, and quite a variety (the frat type, country type, city guy).

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I love living at Uwalk right across the street from campus. I can walk and save on a parking pass and the place is really nice and affordable

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: There are blue lights you can press and you can technically ask a cop to escort you but no one really does

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are a couple places that offer student specials like Hungry Howies and Jersey Mikes. Theres a little bit of everything around here.
