4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It has been a successful experience!

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Scholarships are mostly need based, though there are merit ones available. The average student is not very likely to qualify for these however, as UNC is incredibly competitive.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I have one small scholarship, but if you don't need financial aid, you most likely won't receive it.

2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Once the package is delivered, the amount is fair. Takes several calls to the financial aid office to get things rolling. Lots of random forms with very similar information to Fasfa.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It's really nice that Carolina guarantees to meet full need, and while that can still be hard for me and my family to cover without a few loans, it's much more than any other school gave me - it was cheaper for me to go out of state to Carolina than an in state school. Applying was fairly easy - just fill out the FAFSA and Profile before the deadline. Work study jobs are also available throughout the departments on campus and are really flexible and a great way to build up a resume, and you can still get a job on campus or right outside it if work study is not part of you financial aid award.
