3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I havent had a personal experience to where I have had to be told that im breaking the rules to I would assume that the campus strictness is okay.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: I don't live on campus. I notice only because it's around.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Alcohol is prohibited on campus, no matter the age of the person drinking. If you do want to drink in your dorm, there is an off-campus facility provided by the university in which you can live and drink, but you must be 21 in order to live there. The university claims to be tobacco-free, however there are designated smoking areas, and even those are not strictly enforced. Parking, however, is strictly enforced and if you park in the wrong area or your parking time has expired, you will find a ticket, or worse, a boot, on your car. Protests and displays are frequent on campus, and typically the campus police do not get involved unless the protesters begin threatening others or begin getting violent. Policy is that plagiarism will get you an F in the class plagiarized in and possible suspension, however I have no experience with this.

5 College Senior

Campus Strictness: It's a drug free, and alcohol free campus. I also love that people can only smoke in certain areas!

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I believe the level of strictness at UNM is absolutely needed and a great advantage for both the students and workers of the facility. Everything is in order and it helps students, such as myself and some of my close friends, learn responsibility. It allows us to learn how to get along with other students and when to speak up when any conflicts arise between our classmates and roommates. It gives us a sense of power and we are well informed of who to contact in case any of the campus rules are violated. The policies the school holds reflect the responsibility of their students and I believe if all the rules are followed by the community of the school, they reflect positively in both our academic achievement and social lives.
