5 College Junior

Majors: I am very happy with my major. It is not an easy one, but I enjoy every day of classes, lab, and clinical. I would like to become a CRNA or a Pediatric Orthopedic APRN. I have no concerns about finding a job after graduation as a Nurse.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Our school is hospital based, so it is very cool to see pictures of graduating classes from 50+ years ago. Since this is a hospital-based college, we do not have sports teams or performing arts.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: None of the students (to my knowledge) do drugs. We are all at this school because we are future professionals and take this very seriously.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Not a really big college town. UNO and Methodist are right down Dodge Street, but I do not think students of different colleges hang out much unless they are known prior to coming to school. Midtown Crossing usually has some interesting activities going on. UNO Mav's hockey is always a blast!

3 College Junior

Weather: The walk from the parking lot to the buildings is not a fun one when it is cold and windy, but it could be much worse.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Most people in Omaha do not take transit. Most students at UNMC drive themselves or walk from home.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I try to not go out to eat much, but when I do most places have a very good student pricing/discount.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: UNMC does not have many dorms, and since I do not live in one it is hard for me to describe how strict they are with alcohol usage in dorms. UNMC has a very high honor code.

4 College Junior

Computers: People do not use UNMC's computers often because students are required to have their own.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Everyone is too busy studying to play sports at UNMC. They are not a huge deal.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: I have to get to school at least 30 minutes before class to make sure I find a parking space and have enough time to walk to class.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life is awesome. They keep you involved both on and off campus. It also gives students more opportunities to step up and be leaders. Greek life also can award scholarships.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Girls and guys at the campus get along great. There is a wide range of types of both boys and girls from in and out of state.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: UNMC is made of dedicated students who want to do well and help others. There is a lot to do and a lot of opportunities at which ever campus you go you. There is a great community and everyone gets along well.

4 College Junior

Computers: Some of the labs are a little crowded, but overall they are great.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: It is a busy place full of activities and it has many things to offer!

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: Very delicious and lots of places to eat on and off campus.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: You really need a personal vehicle unless you have time to kill, but either way around Lincoln places to go are spread out and you will spend a lot of time in a vehicle if you plan on going places

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Nightlife at this school will be very limited. STUDY

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: It is easy to ride with people places and Kearney has a taxi service. It is a smaller town so transportation is not really needed.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drugs, excluding alcohol, are rarely seen unless you are looking for places or people that do drugs. Alcohol is popular but people usually only partake in drinking activities on weekends.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Very nice facilities, but have to move locations during school sometimes to accommodate upgrades.

College Student

Athletics: There are no athletic teams at the medical center as it is primarily for graduate/professional students.

2 College Student

Transportation: There is no transportation offered by the school, so most all students drive. However, finding parking is easy as there are many over-flow lots. Many lots make driving to campus convenient. Parking passes are really reasonable for the entire year.

4 College Junior

Academics: I am currently enrolled in an online prerequisite for a program that I just got excepted into. The workload is heavy, as I am teaching myself everything. The professor tries to answer e-mailed questions in a timely manner.
