3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I really wish there were more vegetarian options.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Campus is located right next to downtown lincoln so there are plenty of options and most are open almost all night. There are always student discounts/coupons to use as well.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Most places are not very student friendly.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I love all the options of food downtown. Especially with the new rail yard and new arena, it has brought many new places to downtown lincoln. Parking can be tricky but options are endless. Fast food to bar good to ethnic food, you can find it all

UNL students are pleased with Lincoln restaurants. Of course there are the big chains, but what students really like are the local places that are scattered throughout downtown and the Haymarket. As for late-night food and delivery (two key factors in a college student’s diet), there are sandwich shops, Mexican, Chinese, and pizza places that stay open until the wee hours of the morning.

There are some really great restaurants in town, and none of them will cost you an arm and a leg. There are also plenty of culinary options for first dates, parent’s weekend, and 21st birthday bashes. There are lots of places to eat off campus when you are a budget, and many places give customers a lot of food for their money. There is also a ton of options to pick from, as well. All-in-all, the dining scene in Lincoln will satisfy even the pickiest eater’s tastebuds.

Did You Know?
There are more than 100 restaurants within walking distance of the UNL campus. It's a blessing but also a curse because the wide selection baffles many indecisive students who will sometimes spend a half hour debating where to eat.
