Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

It may be cliché, but it's true: At Mount Union, you really are a name and not a number. The small size of campus makes it easy to meet people—professors, staff members, and other students—and to really find your niche. Students love the small class sizes, individual attention from professors, and the close-knit feel of campus. If you take advantage of opportunities like student organizations, study abroad, athletics, Greek life, and whatever else interests you, it won't be long before Mount ceases to be just a school and becomes a home. Like its students, the University is constantly striving to expand its own horizons, with new facilities, programs, and opportunities for growth that you won't find at other schools of its size. Mount Union graduates leave with great friends, amazing life experiences, and a strong education, and most go on to become successful and fiercely loyal alumni.

There are a handful of things Mount Union students would change about their college, but when it comes down to it, most of them would still choose Mount if they had to do it all over again. Sure, we'd all like more quesadillas in the dining hall, and it'd be great if there were more to do in Alliance, but those aren't the things that make or break the University. The atmosphere and feeling of community on campus is what brings students to Mount, keeps them there, and makes them Purple Raiders for life.

Nightlife: There are tons of places to go for a good night. Personally, my favorite are the fraternity houses because you see a lot of friends, and you feel safer than going out to a club or bar because you're still close to campus and with people you know.

Guys & Girls: This campus is full of good looking guys and girls, with a wide variety. A lot of people (about 25%) are involved in Greek life which is a pretty popular topic including college students. There are plenty of other activities. There's something for everyone. During the colder days. most people wear sweatshirts/sweatpants, but when the weather gets nicer people dress nicer. A lot of people dress up for special occasions or parties, such as philanthropy events, and everyone is very close to people they have something in common with.

Weather: Ohio is known for its snow and rain for a reason. Mount Union has a beautiful campus, but Ohio does get a lot of rain.

Computers: There are computer labs all over campus available to any student, but they are sometimes slow and the printer's paper/ink are limited, so sometimes when you need to print something there isn't any. It's helpful to have your own computer and printer. It's easier to do your work from your own room.

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of options and a variety of food. Plenty of fast food places, along with sit-down restaurants. Cost is pretty reasonable and they are all close to campus.
