Drug Safety: Smoking, drug use, and underage alcohol consumption on campus or in dorms are strictly enforced and consequences are severe if found.

Drug Safety: I've never seen anyone do anything worse than weed.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Drugs are not tolerated at all, and although some slip through the cracks for the most part you rarely ever see it.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Hugs Not Drugs – There really are no hardcore drugs on this campus, maybe some pot but most kids are athletes or paying a lot to be here so they don't waste their time.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: My school is very active about controlling drug and alcohol on campus, they are very against drinking and drug use. When there is word of a party going on that has underage drinking our campus security takes care of the situation. There are a few things though that could be done in the school to really control the drug use and make sure students are not coming to classes under the influence.

The drug scene on Mount Union's campus is really only there if you're looking for it. Most students feel that less than half of their peers use drugs, and aside from a faint smell in the dorm hallway from time to time, it's really not that noticeable. The most popular drugs on campus are marijuana and prescriptions like Adderall and Vicodin; harder drugs like cocaine are much less prevalent, if used at all. The consequences for being caught with drugs or drug paraphernalia are severe, and may even result in expulsion from the University.

Alcohol, on the other hand, is a much different story. Social drinking is a popular pastime at Mount Union, and everyone knows it. There are strict rules in place regarding alcohol consumption on campus, but punishments tend to be mild, and there are still plenty of students (over 21 and otherwise) who drink. However, peer pressure is pretty minimal, and students say that no one will treat you differently for staying sober.
