Parking: I hate parking. I currently park in the commuter lot that requires a bus to get to it and it is really annoying, but hopefully I will be in a closer lot next year.

Parking: The parking situation is usually unfair, simply because they give preference to those who live in campus and who are seniors. Everyone else has to fight for spots and can only park in one lot that is about a mile away from campus.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Can be difficult to find a spot

Parking: Parking is terrible on campus. It is hard to find a spot and the parking enforcement officers are Nazi's. Use public transportation if possible.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Permits can be a bit pricey, but not outrageous. It depends on where you want to park, there are garages as well as lots available to all students.

Ask anyone who attends Mizzou, and he or she will tell you how horrible parking on campus can be. Most commuter students park in AV14 (Trowbridge Livestock Area) or Hearnes Center. The commuter parking pass is about $120. If they're fortunate, students can get a pass to park in parking garages, but they have to be very lucky and will end up paying about $40 to $50 more. There are meters on campus. One thing that students should be aware of is tickets, though. Make sure that you have the correct tags and that there is enough money in the meters.

The only times that students face extreme difficulty with off-campus parking are during parties or home games. Parking becomes very scarce during home games, especially around campus and downtown. During parties, it becomes very difficult to find parking around the neighborhoods because if there are only a few parties that weekend, everyone will be attending them. This causes CPD (Columbia Police Department) to show up a lot sooner, as well.
