4 College Sophomore

Computers: Having your laptop on your is essentially required, but there are lots of computers on campus available for student use.

3 College Freshman

Computers: I bought my own computer for school and my dorm does not have wireless capability in the rooms. It would be nice to have wireless internet but it is not too much of an inconvenience.

5 College Freshman

Computers: Campus computers and well functioning and up to date.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: The campus wireless isn't very good, but having you're own laptop is mainly a necessity with all the online homework given.

4 College Senior

Computers: You have access to computers all over campus though most people own their own computers. Wireless is available all over campus, although it goes out sometimes, which is a pain in the butt. It is generally very fast. Almost all teachers are pretty good about using internet technology through blackboard.

Mizzou offers many computer labs; they are located in various buildings throughout campus as well as Ellis Library. They are usually not very crowded, but there are a lot more students visiting the computer labs during finals week. Most students, however, have their own laptops.

Tech support can be very helpful when the issue is not big, but if it is a big issue, don't expect some kind of miracle. If you have a Mac, take it to the Apple store; you will have better luck with getting things fixed. The Internet connection is not very reliable. It is getting much better with the additions and updates, but there are days when students will not be able to get on the Internet for hours. This doesn't seem like a big deal until you check your email and notice that there are multiple important emails from teachers/advisers and clubs.
