3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It is nice being super close to classes, but the rooms are super small!

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Current housing is primarily for freshman and some sophomores.

Majority of sophomores & rest of upper classmen must live off campus. The apartment complexes closer to campus are older. Students must live further outside of campus to live in newer built complexes.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I stayed in North and it was very nice

4 College Student

Campus Housing: The dorms are good. Some are closer/farther than others. A lot of walking.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: Mizzou FIGS and Learning Communities get tons of national love. It is really nice taking classes with people on your floor with similar interests. Also, all the Residence halls have been renovated since 2001 and campus is extremely walkable. The rooms are not huge but that is the biggest draw back.

Students have mixed feelings about on-campus living. Some have the best experiences, awesome roommates, and meet long-lasting friends in their dorms, while others are not so lucky. It is the luck of the draw as to whom you room with. If you don't happen to like your roommate, you can always move in to a new room or make friends and spend the time in their rooms.

The dorms themselves are kept as clean as possible. Some are much newer than others, so the newer dorms tend to be better looking and provide students with the opportunity to have their own rooms rather than sharing. Most dorms are centrally located; there are a few, such as Mark Twain Hall, that are a little out of the way, but it's only a 15-minute walk to most classes. If you are looking to make friends, all dorms provide a great social environment. The RAs try to get everyone from the floor to socialize, and they will hold events throughout the week to make it easier for people to meet each other.
