4 College Freshman

Diversity: UMD is a very beautiful college with numerous options to choose from although it lacks some diversity racially.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: The people I tend to surround myself with tend to be more liberal but I do run into a fair amount of people that are conservative. As far as religion goes almost everyone is christian and there are multiple christian groups on campus but I don't recall seeing anything for other religions or atheist/agnostic groups. The multicultural center has a good reputation and from what I see is beneficial to GLBTQ students, international students, and students of different ethnicities and racial groups. Mostly everyone here is white and from Minnesota (a few other students are from surrounding states).

4 College Freshman

Diversity: I have friends from all walks of life; it is not difficult to find at UMD.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: I do believe that our college is diverse, but not as much as it should be. I have taken a human diversity course and it has made me believe the actuality of how diverse my college is. I definitely believe we need more diverse groups of people because right now it is not good enough.

5 College Junior

Diversity: We have a wide range of students from various ethnic, economic, and religious backgrounds. UMD also has a a huge diversity in students regarding sexual orientation with clubs reflecting that. Ethnic heritage is a big thing here, we recently just got done celebrating Fiesta on campus, which was totally awesome. I think acceptance on campus is pretty good, everyone just seems to get along well enough with very few issues.
