5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I'm really glad i got the scholarship I got and I'm hoping to apply for more, since there are plenty of options

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: It's pretty good and I have no complaint about the university's sport facilities

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Illegal stuff like alcohol and soft drugs can be found in pretty much any college i believe. UMD isn't an exception, but still i don't think this threatens your safety

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Duluth has just received the title of America's best outdoor city 2014, so you better check it out! It's seriously an amazing place which has big city opportunities and yet remains that small town atmosphere. Couldn't find a better place to live after graduation!

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Can't rate it since I haven't really been to many off-campus party-like events or bars

4 College Sophomore

Majors: There are plenty of majors at UMD and probably every student encounters some trouble at some point of their course of study. Luckily, UMD professors are always welcoming and ready to help you if there's something you don't understand or want to go over.

Getting accepted isn't too hard, but you better have a decent GPA. Also extra curriculum activities and volunteering are look great on your application

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I'm studying chemical engineering as for now and it seriously is one of the best in the country. Even though it'll probably be quite tough, I'm sure it'll be worth it

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: I'm not in it and I don't really know how good it is

College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I really don't know that much about sexual assault on university grounds

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: It's not as bad as many freshmen think after a year, it's just you get tired of easting it over and over

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I live on campus and have a meal plan, which is why I haven't had to deal with buying my food on regular basis

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: From what I've heard it's pretty fun to live off campus, since it's cheaper and you get much more freedom. Although I've only lived on campus so far, I might look for an off-campus place in a year

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: It's not like the "very best" facilities you could find, but personally I'm pretty satisfied with what we have

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere in the town/city my school is located in is amazing. You can walk around most of the town and feel safe.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: I do not go out that much.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The campus is beautiful there's nothing to complain about.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: There are no bars/clubs open for 21 and younger. Which means that there is no party scene for those younger.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is just as expensive and w/o the help of financial aid. I wouldn't consider living in off campus housing.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: You can definitely spot them but they don't do much. It's not as big as other schools are.

4 College Junior

Majors: The workload is quite a bit of work but what major isn't.

College Junior

Majors: I haven't had an internship yet.

4 College Junior

Campus Dining: There's many options but they're not always college wallet friendly.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safety and security on campus is great. The school educates us on how to stay safe. If you're scared to walk alone at night you can call campus security to walk you to your destination.

5 College Junior

Scholarships: I haven't had any problems with financial aid. Everything went smoothly and if I did have a question the financial aid office is really helpful.

4 College Junior

Athletics: I'm not an athletic person but my friends are. I've attended many intramural games in college. From volleyball to football. It's really popular and fun among the student group.
