Nightlife: It's good, but I don't go out much

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There are only two main bars that undergraduate students go to which is not alot compared to many other Big Ten Schools

4 College Student

Nightlife: Once you stop going to frat houses, and find house parties and Coop parties, your life will get so much better. The people are cool and interesting, sometimes they have kegs of craft beers, life is good. Just DONT go to frats because they will make you feel dirty inside

Michigan nightlife varies depending on age and membership in social organizations. Students attend a mix of frat parties, house parties, and bars. Most Ann Arbor bars are reserved for upperclassmen and grad students, as they tend to be 21 and up. Members of the Greek community can be found at frat parties, which, depending on the night, are sometimes open to the rest of the student body. House parties are popular among non-Greek students, as many students seek off-campus housing following their freshman year. Students rave about Michigan's nightlife, saying that no matter who you are, you can always find something to do on the weekends. Your best bet is to attend an open frat party, as they are the best way to socialize, and meet new people—plus, drinks and entertainment are free. The state's new medical amnesty policy helps create a safe atmosphere in the case of underage drinking, but students should always remember to party responsibly.

Across the street from the Law Quad sits Dominick's, lauded as one of the favorite bars in town. Only open from March until October, the outdoor patio/garden in the back and the large outdoor porch in front are packed when the weather is nice. Known for its sangria, great microbrews, and good food, Dominick's is a hit. On a beautiful spring day, expect the place to be packed with students enjoying every second of sunshine they can. It's truly a unique place that is always a great time. Go early because it closes at 10 p.m.
