3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Personally, I like our dining halls, but others have less enthusiasm than me. I like all of the choices we have.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Great pizzas made to your request in Markley.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: What takes away from campus dining are the few late-night options. The places that are open until 1am are not the actual dining halls, they're places where you have to purchase food. Thankfully, UMich gives students at least $200 to use at participating cafes, and the money you don't use carries over from fall to winter. The dining halls are everywhere, so no matter where you are on campus (if it's during the day), you can find a great place to eat.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: It's dorm food. What can you expect. Lots of pizza.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Dining: Although the menu was always filled with ethnic food that I did not want, they usually had a nice variety and kept replenishing the food.

Campus dining is a combination of dining halls, fast food joints, and convenience stores. While dining halls work on a meal plan system, the latter two use a debit card-like system called Blue Bucks. Many students gripe about the quality of the food and the inconsistency between dining halls. What campus dining lacks in quality, however, it makes up for in its abundant variety of options. Michigan does a remarkable job of providing food for an array of diets, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. University dining halls can be found in or within close proximity to almost any dorm. North Quad is overwhelmingly the most popular dining hall among students, with "Mojo" (Mosher-Jordan adjoins Hill Dining Center) coming in a close second. Many students rave about the weekend brunch meals and the warm chocolate chip cookies. With salad and sandwich bars, fruits and vegetables, and cereal available at every meal, even the pickiest of eaters can find something they like.
