4 College Freshman

Diversity: Pretty Diverse – Diversity was something I personally was looking for when I was looking through schools. The University of Michigan is pretty diverse in many different aspects. I have met people from all walks of life . Trust me, if you can think of a person you will most likely find that person here.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: No Need for Car – There really is no need for a car on campus. Most of the places you need to get to are within walking distance. The bus system is pretty good at getting you to the places that are not within walking distance.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The campus police are pretty understanding in the fact that they know that this is a college town, and that there is going to be underage drinking no matter what they do to try and stop it. Most of the time, as long as you are not being stupid about it, you can get away with underage drinking.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Many Resources – One of the reasons why i came to the University of Michigan over the other schools that i was accepted to was that it has a vast amount of resources and many places that you can go to get help. It has many libraries, a career center, as well as more specifice help areas like a physics help room, a math lab, and the likes.

Off-Campus Dining: Good Restuarants – I like all the stores in Ann Arbor. They have good food and nice atmospheres

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I've Learned to Love It – -four seasons
-huge campus - lots of places to explore and study at
-diverse people

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: I've never had any problems on campus, but I get crime alerts often.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: The buildings in Ann Arbor are old looking and it gives the town a personality

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Relatively Safe – The campus is pretty safe but things like suspicious fires and sexual assault still occur on a monthly basis.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Safe but Sometimes Too Silent – Besides the campus itself, there isn't much to do if you don't have access to a car (the bus system isn't very reliable during the weekends).

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Ann Arbor – This small college city has it all. It's hard to not fall in love with the town and with everything in it.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Michigan Athletics are the best in the nation. We have amazing NCAA teams with numerous championships. Intramural sports are huge on campus too involving almost all the students. However, some of the facilities could be renovated.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Tons of computers in different buildings all around campus. Although some locations can be crowded during exam season, there is always some computers open.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Its Fine – The bus system is pretty easy to use, both the local one and the UofM one.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It's Everywhere – Weed is everywhere. If you've never seen it around, you probably have never left your room. Coke and other drugs are prominent as well.

Off-Campus Housing: Super Pricey – It is possible to find good deals, but expect to fork out the money for a house or apartment.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Freshman Dorms-North Campus – Stuck on North Campus my freshman year, the dorms felt dirty and often had a bad odor. The food was ok but not too many healthy choices. It was a good experience and the people were great. Dorms on central campus are much nicer.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: Hit up the Bars – Clubs are alright, not that great. Younger students go mainly to frat parties while older students go to the bars which really aren't that hard to get into.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: A lot of people say that when you attend Michigan you gain 'Michigan Goggles' and start thinking unattractive girls are hot. This isn't really true, you just have to search them out, they're hidden among the copious amounts of Jewish American Princesses.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: Athletic Centers/Librararies – The athletic centers are adequate. The equipment is kind of old, but perfectly fine to use. The libraries are really good and useful, there's a multitude of of them on campus, some good for studying some good for working on group projects.

4 College Student

Facilities: Diversity and Educational Superiority – The University of Michigan attracts students from all around the world; with varying religious backgrounds, ethnic backgrounds, economic backgrounds, political affiliations, etc.
You will see a very broad mix of students, and consequentially a very broad range of opinions and beliefs.

U of M also offers some of the best educational courses in the world. Top notch professors, amazing libraries and computer labs and other resources at your disposal.

5 College Student

Facilities: Fitness Centers Are Amazing – The fitness centers/gyms on campus are absolutely amazing. Multi-story buildings full of state-of-the-art equipment. Swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, indoor jogging tracks, and much more.
The facilities are free to all enrolled members at University of Michigan.

3 College Student

Academics: Very Educational Field – I am a Kinesiology major at University of Michigan. U of M is considered to have one of the best Kinesiology branches in America, and it shows. The professors are top notch, the educational material and texts are well up-to-date.
This major more than prepares you for any career path of Kinesiology.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Cold and Snowy Winters – Ann Arbor gets to experience all the seasons almost equally, except for the fact that Michigan winters are a bit harsh. But all in all, the weather doesn't affect the fun of college.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Convenient and Easy – Free public transportation exists at almost all hours at Michigan. Two bus services as well as late night cabs to pick you. Most of the attractions on or near campus is within walking distance, making traveling quite easy.
