2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: it is what it is. its not great, and hopefully ill hear back soon

3 College Sophomore

Parking: i havent needed to park so i do not know how it is

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: greek life it ok, some poeple love it and its for them.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I personally love my workload, and the curriculum that my teachers use to teach me.

College Freshman

Computers: I've never really used any of these features on the campus as I take online courses through them.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: I don't live there but have visited friends on campus. All I know is that the campus is huge and everything is far away.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I mean, all you need to do is file your FAFSA. That is the part that is a hassle. They only offer loans. I don't intend to ever have a loan for school, because the interest is more than the money I take out, and I already can't afford full time schooling.

College Freshman

Drug Safety: I do not partake in on campus drinking or drug use. Ever.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: From the people who actually go to school at MD, it seems like transportation is a hassle, because everything is so far apart being that the campus is gigantic. Students have to run from class to class in order to make it back and forth from one side of campus to the other. I know there are buses that help the students who are living off campus get there so they do not need to pay the ridiculous parking fees.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The MD Terrapins have a HUGE fan base. I'm not very sporty, so it just seems like they get a lot of support, not only from their present students, but the alum as well. So many people wear the colors, sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc.

College Freshman

Weather: I take all of my classes online so the weather does not affect my walking to class because I do not have to walk to class.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I know it isn't the best area in the world to live. Plus the campus is GIGANTIC. I've only been to campus a few times, and usually during the day. I'm comfortable with the areas I know and not the ones I don't. I don't hear about a lot of crime or anything on campus. I'm just a cautious person in general.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Well, the only visual aides I get for the students at my school is the pictures they upload to their online profiles. There are some attractive young people in my classes, but MANY military adults coming back for second and third degrees. Half of my classes end up being adults who are military in some form. Many of the adults are married with kids, but I know nothing about the 20-something students and their relationships. I also have no idea how these people dress, or what their social life is like.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I tried to get into a paid internship in DC. It was great. They let me come in for a day so I could see what a day in the world of publishing is like for them. I am going to continue to look for opportunities like that. Ideally I'd love to be in some form of publishing for my career.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The only concern I have is that everything everyone says about just "having a degree" is going to impact my jobs in the future. I want a degree in something I love. I love English. I've considered becoming a teacher, but I don't think I want to go down that road--and if I do, I'll go on to be a college professor, teaching at a community college. Right now, I'm trying to get internships in the publishing field. That's where I'd love to be for my career.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: I don't really know how the evening scene is because I don't really go out. I spend time in focusing on my job and my homework. I do hear mixed things about the evening scene from friends and they like it--but I'm not the typical college student.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: It's really useful especially at night or when it's cold.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There aren't many things to do in Maryland or so it seems because things are very spread out.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Students are very involved with sports, which includes watching varsity sports or participating in club sports and intramurals.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of places to eat right off of campus.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It's strict in areas that it should be.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: This school is very diverse and accepting of everyone.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The application process was very straight forward.

4 College Freshman

Majors: The advising office and peer mentors office is always very helpful and available.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: There aren't many instances of crimes.
